Oye Vey...and the results are in...

Based on those results, the Neurologist is "squeezing" my DH in tomorrow morning, we are a "wait" appointment which means that we are to be there when the doors open and one of the four neurologists will be squeezing him in between already scheduled patients.

Guess the 3 week wait was indeed inappropriate, glad I stuck to my guns and insisted on more followthrough.  Incredible though that they would mislead someone like that.  And thank goodness I have 15 + years of medical office management experience to withstand their idiocy and steer them in the right direction.

Needless to say, now we are even more worried because these "abnormalities of the brain" are apparently more serious than they initially let on.  Shame on them for making an immediate wrong decision...they should have spent more time evaluating and thought it through.

Regardless, my DH is being seen ASAP and hopefully this will all be understood better and most importantly be treatable.

Again, thanks for all your support.

Suzanne

P.S.  Registration went fine, I am signed up for my first class and I don't need to go back on Wednesday next week for an advisor meeting :o)

SOrry to hear of your troubles, Suzanne. What good fortune, though, that your husband has such a fantastic wife! I wish you both strength and good luck. Shannon

Sorry to hear about your husband's health issues....Like Hunbo said he is very lucky to have you. I just can't believe the doctors are waiting this long. That does not sound kosher at all. I was diagnosed with MS a year and half ago. Luckily I was diagnosed a day after my they did my MRI. Hope everything will be all right. Stay strong.

Just caught up with your "Stress-O-Meter" from yesterday, holy hair-puller, Batman!!! I must say, though, that you did well by posting and venting here where we ALL understand stress and tension....just lookit Tobe's reply, gotta luv knowing who you can count on for a chuckle in the face of adversity :o)

Tomorrow may seem like forever, but thank goodness it is 20 or more tomorrows. I can't for the life of me figure out why "mediticians" think it's ok to make folks wait such lengths of time. My coworker's step daughter is expecting, she's already 9 months or so, went to the hospital in agony, and the doc there told her to basically deal with it for now and "try not to have the baby for another 2 weeks"....yea, hey thanks, doc.

God bless and prayers goin' up for you and hubby.

Sorry to hear of DH's health issues. The good thing is that since you are well educated in the Medical field that you knew to give that push to get him seen ASAP. Good luck and will include you in prayers.

Could be a "let's just get this guy in so his wife will leave us the heck alone" issue, dontcha think? I have no doubt that you will give them a (well deserved) piece of your mind once you get in to see the doc.

I'll keep transmitting positive juju your way, sweetie.

Awe Suzanne any person that doesn't give "two hoots" isn't human! Anytime you get test results that aren't normal you can't help but be scared and concerned, whether it's you, your family, friends or friends from the online world.

Having been there myself the past few months all I can say is don't panic, keep positive thoughts, take notes at the doctors office, and be there for each other regardless of the results. And I agree having been in the medical field most of my life it's sometimes a godsend to know how to play their "games"!!!

Good luck to you and your hubby my friend, my positive thoughts are with you both!!!

Bright Blessings,
Cyndie

Thanks everyone. I do hope that Tobe is right though, would prefer this new "special treatment" to be solely because I made a professional stink about their possible neglect by putting off the appointment/results for so long.

I will update you when I know more. But I surely know that I will sleep better knowing you are all there for me!!!
