I couldn't be any better!
Good Morning! Yesterday at 7:30 AM I trotted my butt into the doctor's office. I haven't been in to see her for three months. I was very excited and a little worried. I'm eating more meat than ever before and I was worried about my numbers going up. The first thing I did was get on the dreaded scale. 181.0 fully dressed, excuse me no shoes, down from 206 on her scale I thought it was 205! Blood pressure 122/68, heart rate 72 and that was just the beginning of the good news. I was smiling from ear to ear and hadn't even spoken to my nagging doctor. Don't get me wrong she is right and always has been; hard for me to admit that being a person who needs to be right more times than not! Here are the stats: Cholesterol 129, HDL 42, LDL 54, Triglycerides 162 (400-600 before NS and niacin), HbA1C 6.0, Liver function NORMAL (first time in 5 years), Blood CBC, HGB, Platelets all in the mid-normal range. No longer spilling protein into my urine (that means normal pancreas function). I thought my doctor was going to do handstands in the office. She gave me all the credit for making the right decisions on my health. I told her about our decision to go on Nutrisystem D and she took one of my meal planners to check it out. I have only one more thing to do and that's to take a nuclear stress test next week. So everything is good and I mean really good. I'm down to 180.5 pounds still trying to break that "0". I got my exercise DVD last night so I'll be starting that this afternoon. We'll see how far I can get into it without my heart kicking my butt. Even if I can get 10 minutes done without problems I will consider that a success. I hope you all have a great week!

That is just so wonderfully awesome! I only started NS yesterday but with reports like yours, I can expect wonders. Not miracles, just wonders. I'm so happy for you and can't wait for others to feel the same kind of happy for me. Keep it going, nothing like positive reinforcement from the numbers to perk you right up, huh? Keep posting too, it's stuff like this that gives the rest of us the courage and dedication to keep on keepin' on.

Lots of good wishes here, Sandie (mine included). So glad to hear all that good news. I guess your doctor told you to keep doing what you are doing, right? I think I would hang in there and do what you know to do.

More good news to come from you. I just know it. You will break that 180 the next thing you know.

Good luck with your exercise. Just don't overdo.
