Took a 2 Day Vacation from NS
I've been stuck at the same weight for 3-4 weeks. So I took a break off NS for 2 days. The first day, I ate nothing but protein: chicken, fish, egg beaters and a ground beef (5% fat) patty. The second day we had company and he arrived with Italian Subs, potato salad and chips. I split a sandwich with my husband then ate protein for the balance of the day. No potato salad and no chips. (before NS I would have eaten a whole 12" sub with the potato salad and chips) I got on the scale this morning and I was the same weight as I was three days ago, in fact as I was 3 weeks ago! Oh well, back on the straight and narrow; otherwise known as NS. No harm, no foul you might say. I got such a great lab report from my doctor last week, that alone keeps me wanting to stay on track with NS. I'm really trying to get below 179.5 that will be a major breakthrough for me. I haven't been that low since 2004. In April 2003 I was 168.0 I'd like to be there before Christmas, but at this rate that might be just a dream. I had my nuclear heart test this past Tuesday but haven't gotten the results as yet. I'm going to call the doctor today and see if the reports in. The test kind of knocked me out, I'm not sure if it's emotional or physical or both. It's a nerve wracking test. It feels like any second you're going to have a heart attack, of course your not and there are doctors and techs watching your every heartbeat and blood pressure like a hawk, but nerve wracking any way. We're getting our new floor installed, he should be finishing the major part of the install today. Then we have to stain the new baseboards and he'll be back Tuesday to install those. Have a great Thursday, stay true to NS and lose lots of weight.

Keep on trucking Ms Sammeraal!!! I know sometime you catch a stump and can't keep falling down heal, sometimes though it is because of something like one of those nuclear stress tests, man those things stink! New Floors?? My dream, besides dropping weight, is new floors. What a chore, but one I am willing to take on. Keep drinking lots and lots of water, that helps flush that crap out of your system and sweat!! If you can find a dry sauna to sit in for a few minutes a day that helps to purify your body by sweating out the toxins. Have a great day and enjoy the floors!!

Sandie, good for you. We are going to eventually deal with food on our own and you proved that you don't have to be on NS to keep your weight stable. Sounds like the choices weren't all that bad either. Just keep on track and you will get down there where you've always wanted to be.

Let us know about the nuclear test results. We are hoping for good news.

Hugs,
Linda
