Up 1/2 pounds
As I expected, I gained back 1/2 a pound. Still under 190 but only by .5 pounds. I followed the plan, didn't cheat but have been stressed to the max! We resolved one problem: the furniture company is taking back the furniture after I showed them the cushions they sent us were not the same quality as the cushions on the showroom floor model. All of a sudden they couldn't have been more helpful. We ordered another sofa. This time when it arrives I will open the cushions and make sure the quality is the same as the floor model. And if it isn't I won't let them deliver and We'll speak to the manager while the truck is here with a threat to call the BBB and the State's Attorney. I hate being ripped off. Maybe I can calm down and not have cortisol racing through my system making it difficult for me to lose. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Here are some interesting comments (taken from About.com) and some suggestions about what to do about your stress.

To keep cortisol levels healthy and under control, the body’s relaxation response should be activated after the fight or flight response occurs. You can learn to relax your body with various stress management techniques, and you can make lifestyle changes in order to keep your body from reacting to stress in the first place. The following have been found by many to be very helpful in relaxing the body and mind, aiding the body in maintaining healthy cortisol levels:

* Guided Imagery
* Journaling
* Self-Hypnosis
* Exercise
* Yoga
* Listening to Music
* Breathing Exercises
* Meditation
* Sex
* Other Techniques

*** always has such wonderful information! Hope you're able to get the couch you ordered without any more problems. I've put 1/2 lb. on too - stress is the culprit. I'm going to try some of the techniques *** mentioned. Maybe both of us will have better luck...dj
