The Saga of the Search!
It's Sunday around 2PM and a promise given, even to yourself, must be a promise kept. Breaking your word to yourself is even worse than letting someone else down. I promised myself a new bathing suit,

I HATE trying on clothes any kind of clothes; bathing suits top the list. All those mirrors within 2 1/2 feet of your body, the dressing, the undressing, the pulling and craming your ample body into one square foot of spandex that can break your nails in the least and break you heart at the most. And please remember there's no denial in front of a mirror. now I'm standing in front of three of them, Crow, if that isn't torture I don't know what is. Gitmo has nothing on a three way mirror. This is my second bathing suit foray in less than 4 months. I bought a new suit three of four months ago but never wore it, Until my neighbor dragged me kicking and screaming to the pool last week. When I bought the suit it was a lovely black and white floral print (black is sooooo slimming) and it fit like one of those wet suits only two sizes too small and so tight I could hardly breath. I felt like my eyes would pop out of my head or worse yet my butt would slip the seams and hang out the bottom for the world to see. That was when I bought it. When I put this visegrip suit on after being on NS for a five weeks it was too big. Now you did read that correctly TOO BIG! A size 18 and I wasn't only swimming in the pool I was swimming in my swim suit! My boobs wouldn't stay in the cups and I had to keep pulling down the seat so my cheeks wouldn't debut in mid *** stroke. So off to my favorite store, Bealls, for a new suit. There the saga begins. Since it's the middle of July there's a 50% off sale on all suits including my new favorite brand Longitude! After going through racks and more racks of sizes 8 through 12 I finally find a couple 16's and grab them up like they're precious jewels and run to the dressing room, you know the ones with the three mirrors surrounding you like vipers ready to show you every blessed flaw you never wanted to know you had. The mirror says: "Maybe you'll get into that but don't bet on it"! Wow, first suit is a little too big...must be a mistake...second suit: really too big and the cut is way too high for public display. The mirrors are howling in laughter, "you're a mess". Third suit: no bra support. Sorry but when you are amply endowed you can't just let them hang inside the material. There's got to be something to hold the girls in place. Back to the racks. Now I'm hot and perspiring from all this on and off routine and the three way mirror is still hissing at me. I finally find a rack that has a couple 14's hanging there. They don't look big enough to cover half of me but a promise is a promise. I pick up four of the five suits on the rack and slowly walk back to the dressing room. It was difficult facing the mirrors...they weren't hissing when I got there they were laughing hysterically...."ha, ha...what are you kidding, never in a million years will you get that gut into THAT suit"! Shut up mirror! I got undressed, with the mirrors still snickering at me and put my leg into the first suit. I must admit it wasn't quite my favorite, a deep orange flowers with black (very little black therefore not too slimming) It was a little bit of a struggle but I got in it. Didn't like it, not flattering at all. Thank goodness it was easier getting off then puting on. The mirrors were a little less vocal as I tried on the next suit. And so it went until the last suit! A purple, turqouise and gold affair on a black background. This was my last chance the mirrors were strangely quite, just a occasional murmur. I slipped into the suit not too much of a struggle, pulled up the top and the mirrors gasped...or was that me? I'm in a 14, haven't seen that size in 6 years! SUCCESS and pretty too. Flattering, my girls were well supported and my cheeks were contained in style. Take that mirrors,no response from the mirros but the dressing room rejoiced and so did I!
