This is too funny!
I'm always worried and complaining that I'm not drinking enough water, liquid or whatever. I never, ever mark off all of those little glasses that track the water you drink daily. I worry about it constantly! Well, (Mrs. Einstein here, not really my name) has been calculating incorrectly. I never was a mathmatical genius. So I'll tell you of my little MISCALCULATION! I have this very large glass that has big red letters on it that say "Iced Tea". I usually drink 4 of those a day beside the 4 ounces of water I drink twice daily with my medication. I make my tea in a 4 cup coffee maker then fill the glass up 1/3 of the way with the strongly brewed tea, add lemon, sweetener then fill it to the top with lots of water and ice cubes...you see I love my drinks ice cold. Most of the time I don't get it all drunk until the ice has pretty much melted into the drink. It turns out that the drink glass holds 20 ounces of liquid. 20 ounces times 4 glasses = 80 ounces of iced tea. Sometimes I scare myself....lol! So I've been making my water goal all the time! Ha, Ha, Ha! Silly girl! I wonder if I'm measuring my chocolate desserts incorrectly? LOL

I have been absolutely convinced that more people than you have little concept of how much 64 ounces of water really is. So many people complain about having to drink "so much water" and, by comparison, I have consumed all of my required water by the time I get through breakfast (for reasons similar to yours). By the end of the day I've had four to five times the required amount. While I only count clear water toward my required amount I have read that water from whatever source is fine. The thing to watch out for are added chemicals or empty calories. Keep studying as you work the plan. All of the features are proven, medically sound components of a healthy, sustainable eating plan.

yup, I'm with DW up there; I'm technically "done" my water before I leave for work, plus I never count anything but plain water, weheras my tea and such coubts too, but not coffee (too much caffeinne, methinks), or diet soda, I dont think. Good for you, you were doing better than you thought :o)

By the way. I drink caffiene free everything, ice tea, soda, and coffee isn't usually on my diet. Since I've been on NS I don't drink much soda anymore either. It's a good thing!

I am addicted to coffee. I drink it ALL the time. But I have noticed now that I have started drinking the water, I don't seem to want the coffee as badly. Maybe I feel addicted to it because it was the only water my body was gettting?
