I weighed in this morning and

!YAY!

I lost my half pound PLUS another half pound! One whole pound! Now I
know that doesn’t sound like much, but it really is. I suppose it is
partly due to my
advanced age
but I have been unable to lose weight in recent years as easily as I
did in the past. I marvel that some of you are able to lose multiple
pounds at a time! Good going!
Saturday. What does it mean to you? For me, this Saturday means washing
clothes and doing chores, with a few minutes stuck in between for
blogging and talking to friends online.

Now this Sunday is a different story. Fun stuff! My daughter and two of
my wonderful granddaughters will be here for a visit.

It takes them a little less than three hours to get here, but my
daughter – being the tough chick that she is – plans to make the round
trip in one day. I bet I know who will be dragging at work on Monday!
We will celebrate the older granddaughter’s 17th birthday while she is
here (a week early since I won’t get to see her on the day of), which
should be fun. The younger granddaughter (aged 6) is a character, full
of vim and vinegar and boundless energy.

She keeps me on my toes and knows she has me wrapped around her ornery
little finger! The older one was always quiet and calm as a youngster,
so it has been quite a ride with the younger one. I think she is as
rowdy as all four of my sons were put together! (I’m just kidding.
That’s not physically possible!)
I’m listening to some great music while I write.

I love the oldies, from Roy Orbison and Jim Reeves to John Denver and
Creedence Clearwater Revival. I wish I had some Patsy Cline, but cannot
find any online. I haven’t looked very hard, though, so it may be out
there somewhere. If you find some, let me know.
Hope your weight loss journey is progressing smoothly.

If it’s not, hang on. It’ll get better if you stay with it. Think of the reward of getting to wear new, smaller clothes!
Joan
