So I have been super busy with planning this event. We haven't even gotten to the
part where we rehe*** the choreography yet....that meeting is tomorrow. But it's going
to be awesome. My goal (other than losing a 100 pounds this year) is to have 1000
zombies dancing in Times Square on October 24th 8:30pm with Thrill The World. I
am the event organizer for the New York City event and it's coming along so wonderfully!!

I woke up today and checked the scale and I'm finally losing weight again. I seemed to have been on a hump that wouldn't bump. Plus I haven't been writing in my diary, but I'm on
the flex plan so this is a learning curve for me all together. I wanted to learn what I can
and can not eat, portion control, etc...and OMG it's working!! Last weekend I had a turkey burger with whole wheat bread and instead of fries I ordered potato salad. Probably not better than the fries but I felt better. I ate the whole burger and enjoyed every second!!
And I noticed that it didn't make me feel fat or bad it made me more empowered because
I am learning!! See knowledge is power.

So yay! 45 pounds gone, I have fat pants. Yes! My jeans and some of my work pants
are just getting a little too baggy and I've never had to wear a belt before nor would I want too....but now I need to take these pants to be taken in. I thought that only ever happened
to skinny blond ladies in yogurt commercials....

Anyway, if you are in NYC and want to dance with millions around the world, I am
offering free dance classes to learn thriller. www.thrilltheworldnyc.com

See ya!!!
Amada :)

musictheatrechichttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxGood Morning 35 Pounds,http://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxhttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Archive/2009/5/21/399889.aspx2009-05-21T05:45:00Z2009-05-21T05:45:00ZAlright! I wanted to lose 50 pounds by my birthday but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
The great news is my body has really made some beautiful changes and I can't wait for my Fiance Gene to see me in a few hours. We haven't seen each other since February 1st when I was then 322 pounds. I am now 285. I know the math isn't exact (37pounds) but that's because I've only been on NS for 14 weeks. OMG I am so excited. And my show has it's last weekend and we have been doing wonderfully. AND my Birthday is Tuesday May 26th. Couldn't be happier :) YAY! Yes! I have been titled the Incredible Shrinking Woman! I walked on set for rehearsal for my play "Crimes Of The Heart" I'm playing the role of Lenny, and I was setting up my props and such for the beginning of the play when out of nowhere very loudly the assistant director calls out "AMADA, OH MY GOD!!" I immediatly think that there's a huge roach or rat somewhere and start looking around at the area near me when he says "YOU are the Incredible Shrinking WOMAN!" I said huh? Really??! I of course immediatley looked right at my butt. LOL. Then the female director asked me how I was doing on it and say's ya know where your losing it the most? I said...."Yes I think so"...Then she says "Yup your butt". Then today my co-worker said the same thing as she was sliding past me in the small kitchen nook at our office. I'm just flaborgasted. I mean I keep thinking the pounds are dropping one at a time yes but I hardly notice the change but everyone else seems to be looking right at my butt. I guess it's cause I can't see my butt. Maybe I just need to take one good hard look. What do you think? And no...I will not post any pics. :p
musictheatrechichttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxAlmost 30 pounds gone...Already? So last weekend I was just telling my family, co-workers, and friends how I was so excited to get to the 25 pound mark and I was weighing in at 23.5 pounds...well before I knew it come Monday the scale totally skipped the 23.5 and went to 27.5! I'm just flabbergasted! This is an incredible journey and I just can’t get over the fact that I am actually doing this! My goal is to lose another 25 pounds before my birthday on May 26th. So I can say I've lost 50 pounds this year. Making me weigh in @ 270. That's only another 22.5 pounds. Can I do it?? YES I CAN!! *Sings Happy Birthday To Me :)

Back to Blog time:The other day I was at work standing next to one of my supervisors and slipped my hands in my pocket & my hand slipped straight down into the pocket!! And it was a long week and I felt like I needed something to help me relax and usually we drink Johnny walker but I couldn’t afford it so I bought the cheap stuff called Grants and had a few shots when I got home with diet soda. I then got online a few hours later and we drank another 3 together…well afterwards I was SICK, I mean vertigo sick…. laid down, couldn’t eat anything, felt like alcohol poisoning and didn’t realize until today that my body mass index has dropped and I am not able to take them back like I used too. Kind of scary thought since I’m used to keeping up with Gene with the drinks but now…my body is changing and I’m just going to have to remember to take things in moderation. Especially when I drink!! It happened, it finally happened. That moment when I stepped on the scale and saw the numbers drop to 299LB. No more 300 I'm no longer in the 300 pound mark. HOORAY! I feel somewhat normal again and I know now I can do anything I want to accomplish. Seriously...Why can't I be a size 4? LOL I know that's way off but I've never in my life been small like my sister who is petite and has always been. (We have different fathers). But WOW! I know my next shipment I'll be getting another NS bear and I think this one is going to be the most special bear of all. The one that I will look at and remember forever. I'm so happy!!!! WOOT!
musictheatrechichttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxName for NS Bear??? (It's red with no mouth...kinda weird right?)http://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxhttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Archive/2009/3/24/362870.aspx2009-03-24T07:40:00Z2009-03-24T07:40:00ZOK. YAY! I just got my first 10 pound NS bear :)
I've got to decide on a name for her/him. It's red and doesn't have a mouth...does that mean something?? I think the name tag say's her name is Pound. Well that's pretty original but I think I like Baby Pound. Then maybe next months will be Missy Pound. What have you guys named yours??

Curious in NY,
Amada Manada Hakuna Matata
musictheatrechichttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspx2 more pounds till MONKEY BARS! (299 here we go!)http://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxhttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Archive/2009/3/23/361779.aspx2009-03-23T01:53:00Z2009-03-23T01:53:00Z
Weight = 301.

All last week I was excited because I thought I was going to be getting on the monkey bars this weekend but it turned out that my weight wasn't changing! I quickly realized that my purchase of weight watchers whole grain muffins were not 100% whole grains and that was what was causing me to stay stubborn at 303.5 all week. Plus Saturday I was onstage doing blocking for the new show I'm in and I was walking and sitting and moving around for 3 hours!! I took care of myself and I award myself with lots of pats on the back and endless encouragement from my mom and finace Gene.

Speaking of Gene...he and I have a long distance relationship and so when he comes to see me the end of May I hope he recognizes me!! LOL

So yay or 2 more pounds this week that hopefully will allow me to attempt monkey bars every weekend. Right? I know...crazy goal but something Ive been wanting to do since I was a kid.

Much success to you all!

Amada Manada Hakuna Matata
musictheatrechichttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxNo more camel toe!!http://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxhttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Archive/2009/3/19/358992.aspx2009-03-19T01:20:00Z2009-03-19T01:20:00Z
LOL. Ok that was just kinda a weird title but I have this camel colored pair of pants that say's it's a size 24. I wear them for work sometimes but they were a little too tight in the front and then not wide enough in the back. Hence the name camel toe pants. Anyways..last Sunday I weighed in and I was down to 303.5 it's now Thursday and nothing has changed. BUT! Ha Ha pun on BUTT :) I saw the pants in the bottom of my closet and decided to try them on to wear to work today and OMG they are baggy!! So yay for losing pounds and shrinking body fat. Go Nutrisystem, Go AMADA, Go MEEEEEE :) I'm really hoping to lose these next 3 pounds by Sunday so let's see what happens. Can I be a good girl and eat only required NS foods and veggies/fruits/yogurts?? I think So after results like this one can only accomplish more goals.

As always much success everyone and remember this is all for YOU!

Take care & all the best!

Amada Manada Hakuna Matata
musictheatrechichttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxA little slower this week thanks to sushi...http://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspxhttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Archive/2009/3/13/354419.aspx2009-03-13T01:35:00Z2009-03-13T01:35:00Z
Hi. Ok. Went out on Tuesday night with some coworkers to what was going to be mexican and this restaurant even had fajitas with whole wheat tortillas!! But alas the service was horrible so we left and went for sushi. I ordered a very expensive plate of sashimi and sushi and alas this time no brown rice only white. Well...I had some. It was ok. But I also had some sake and miso soup which of course stalled my progress this week. So..now we know don't we? Yes it was healthy and actually didn't make me gain any more weight but I could have lost a few more pounds otherwise. Yes Yes I had some Sake and at the mexican restaurant I also had a corona light but otherwise I am sticking to my new eating habits and am enjoying the wonderous exhilaration of losing weight.

Sometime this weekend I am going to go buy a measuring tape and measure myself. This is my second month on NS and I'm so excited! I want to see if I am actually losing inches too.

My only concerns are that I have been having slight chest pains (no, my left arm isn't numb) and it happens when I am laying down at night or sometimes walking up the steps near the subways. Walking in New York is brisk, and I am having more energy, but why the sudden chest pains?

I guess I'll be ok. On another note...not sure if this is connected to NS but I also had a period for 2 weeks. The week before I normally do and the week of. My mom says when your body is changing like losing weight this can happen..has anyone heard this before?

Wish everyone the best of luck and much success!

Amada Manada Hakuna Matata
musictheatrechichttp://blog.members.nutrisystem.com/Blogs/musictheatrechic/Default.aspx
