Can someone stop this stupid horse!!!!!
Ok! I have truly been trying to get back in the saddle. I'll start off doing great but night time hits and I slowly begin to loose control. I know I can do this!! I need to put my big girl panties on and hold on tight to this wild (craving) horse. It seemed almost effortless last week and the weeks before that. Why is it that this urge to eat feels so darn strong!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAH!! I'm ok...I can do this.

I am totally in your boat. For the past 10 days I have been eating horribly. Today I said "this is it, I am doing it". Although, I said that the past 10 days too-LOL, what made it different this time, I don't know. I think because I exercised and I didn't want to waste all that work for another snickers- halloween killed me. Anyway, I think it was the exercise- not sure though, because I did add exercise other days. I do notice I just say, one more day, oh just one more- but it turns into waaaay too many and an unhappy person. Good luck and I hope you get past this. You are not alone!!

You've got to be the one to stop the horse. Get rid of the things that you shouldn't be eating and that should help. Betti

Try doing things differently... if you get the cravings, while watching tv, perhaps you can call a friend you havent talked to for a while when that craving hits - hard to stuff your mouth when you are talking away... plus it will take your mind off of the craving. Or, start a great book, and enjoy a cup of hot tea while you read. I have found, the thing that helps me is to eat my dessert later in the evening, with a hot cup of sleepy time tea. It relaxes me, I eat my dessert much more slowly, and then never go to bed feeling that pang of hunger.

GOOD LUCK whatever you do - remember your goals and your great efforts thus far and dont give in to the cravings!

I just started the program 3 days ago. This is my biggest fear, getting started then fallinf off the wagon.I read blogs and hope that everyone pulls out of this and jumps back on their horse because I rely on you to do so. So if for no other reason do it for me!I need you to keep me motivated!

I have found from experience that when I have gone off NS, the next day is crucial. All those cravings for sugar and carbohydrates have been awaken. For me, it usually takes one day to get back into the swing of NS and get the cravings back in control. One day of success is what it takes for me and hopefully for you too.
At night is the hardest, we are unwinding from the day and beginning to relax. It is colder out too and our bodies want to hold on to its insulation and hibernate.
This is what I do when I want an extra dessert or want to nibble on something. Make a cup of hot tea or "no sugar added" hot chocolate, I think it's only 10 calories. It usually does the trick for me.
Remember that you have a goal and yes, you can do this! ~ Julie
