week 1 weigh in

Well, I am very encouraged after completing my first week!  I lost 7.6 lbs.   I'm sure a large part of it was water weight, but I really don't care. Haha It's weight, and it certainly gave me a boost in my confidence that I can stick with this one!  It was definitely worth missing out on 4th of July food and my birthday cake.  I still have about 60lbs to go, so this is definitely just the beginning.

Instead of pounds, I'm logging inches since my goal is to get back into my size 8 clothes. After my first week of exercising before dieting and losing almost an inch everywhere, here's the stats for this first week on NS: 1 inch off my upper arms, 1 inch off my chest, 1/2 inch off my hips, and maintained my waist and thighs (nothing lost nothing gained).

I'm actually getting used to and liking the program. It's like my rod. Again, congratulations on the great effort this week. Let's do it again this week.

I know it is very, very hard when you are feeding people every day, all day long, to keep portion control under wraps ("been there, done that" when my children were young), but keep trying.
