Happy 4th
Happy 4th of July everyone! I have a family thing this evening.  My birthday is tomorrow so we will celebrate it along with the 4th.  This is only my day 5 on NS and I've really been doing great.  I am determined to not blow it tonight (as I normally would with past diets).  My plan is to totally stick to the NS food.  This will be tough since I already know there will be homemade icecream (my favorite)!  If I can make it through today, I know I can make it through this process of losing weight and being happy with myself again.  I CAN do this!

You'll be just fine. Last night our basement flooded and we had disaster cleanup come in until 2:00 in the morning. Not a lot was lost, it was just inconvenient and tiring (the city is paying for the damage because they haven't upgraded the piping in the street).

A friend called and said they were having an impromptu party and my first thought, "Man, do I need a drink tonight and oh, her desserts are SO good. I deserve it." But you know what? I didn't indulge! I stuck to my diet even when I had no will power due to the stress of dealing with my basement.

So, you'll be fine tonight. Have a great Fourth!

In response to tototoo I am finding out as I walk the NS journey, that 50-75% of the battle is mental.Food has been my drug of choice for a long time, and stress kicks it into high gear. Good for you for not giving in !

Hea Lady Mom of 3...You live in a great State. I am orginally from West Point and go their often to visit. Cheers on you. I wish you wish choices in your program. Just remember this is not hard. All you need to do is follow the "meal planner". write down all you eat and when you eat it.

It works.

Cheers,
