Day 2--dairy options?

Well, today went pretty good.  I am still happy with

everything I've eaten.  I had the chocolate chip scone

for breakfast.  It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very sweet at

all for this sugar addict. :)  I'm not complaining though,

NS is definitely the easiest diet I've ever tried.  Another

popular diet I once tried sells bars etc. that actually

ARE sweet, but I found that they make my blood

sugar spike and then I get VERY nervous and hungry

(the story of my life-ha).  After only day 2, I can

honestly tell that NS is much healthier than anything

I've ever tried.  I do have a few questions for someone

with experience out there.  Is there any possibility of

having some sort of sugar free ice cream (without

paying an arm & a leg for it from NS).  It is soooo hot &

I am really missing my ice cream.

I didn't do any "exercise" today, but I did pull

weeds in the garden for about 2 hours.  That

will have to count for exercise today since I'm

exhausted.

If you can find a close match to their nutrional stats, then I'd think it would be okay to sub it for your regular dessert. You'd just be able to control the portions and not eat the whole thing
;-) After being on NS for a little while, I had their icecream and was very satisfied with it. One itty bitty scoop and it was wonderful!

I noticed that gardening is included in the exercise options. Let me know what others say about ice cream. My skinny kids made homemade milkshakes today and I was dying to have one.

Skinny cow is tasty. Also, the Schwann guy (home food delivery...or is this just where I live???) has a HUGE selection of tasty treats that are NS worthy.

Thanks everyone for the tips on ice cream! I wasn't sure if you could substitute your dessert or not. I wouldn't want to do it all the time, but occasionally. Glad to know gardening is on the exercise options. I am sooooo sore today and my feet are swollen. I think I did too much.

Check the nutritional stats on some of the soy-based ice creams. If you can find one with low sugar, low fat and some protein, it might be an exchange for one of the NS desserts. Check the nutritional stats on those....they all have a fair amount of protein as well as carbs and fat. I'm not a big ice cream eater so I haven't had those cravings....maybe when the weather gets a little hotter.

Thanks for the tips everyone. JackieWhy, I take it you aren't in a southern state. Haha It is already SO hot down here in Mississippi. (102 degree weather--that is why ice cream keeps calling my name) Thanks for the VERY helpful info.
