In to the 3rd Month I go...
It's November 2nd and I'm starting my 3rd month with NS.  It hasn't been a hard journey so far.  The food is available and it's what I like - the DVD for Walking and Toning are available 24/7 - the filtered water is flowing from the picture - and family/friends are very supportive.  BUT, I'm on another plateau.  This time it's a plateau of a week so far.  NO, I'm not discouraged... I just want to get on with it.  I'm following my plan and sticking to it better than any of the other so-called diet plans I've participated in the past.  The ChatRoom has been fun along with the Discussion Boards and the Blogs... Can't believe how many resources are out there.  I've been told before that perhaps my body is relocating itself from the 20 pounds & 20 inches I've lost in the last 8 weeks or so.  But it's time to move on and I want to get down to a healthy size and weight so that I won't have the uncomfortable pains in my back and joints that accompany these excess pounds.  I picked up a 30 pound bag of cat litter when I was at Wally-World the other day...  Man that is "dead" weight!  That's how much I still need to loose and then keep off.  Even 10 pounds is a lot of weight when you think of it... Often I reflect on the different diet shows I've seen aired on television.  They'll have a child's wagon pull out some fat that has been extracted from carcuses of cows, etc. and it looks so gross.  Not to mention the hi-tech vats of fat that they extract from the human body when they do that "ly-po-suction".  UGH!  So I'm sitting hear, in front of my computer monitor typing at 5:12AM typing on the keyboard.  Trying to think about my next move on boosting my metabolism this week.  My weigh in is Wednesday...  I'd like to "rock" that scale off it's little ticker and lower it about 3 or 4 notches.  We'll just have to "weigh" and see.  This weeks bound to have some successes even if/is weight/inches lost.  <')))>< Have a good day!  11/2/09

Good morning! Thanks for the encouragement! I've been stuck for awhile too! I started adding 1000mg of calcium to my diet and that has really helped. I've heard it's also good for cholesterol, cancer prevention and few other good things. It's certainly helping me! I'm almost at -30! Stay strong and God bless!

I hear you!! I am stuck and getting disgusted! Yesterday I hiked for 3 hours and the stuborn scale said the same this morning! I am only one lb down from last week and exercise alone was -3,500 calories. Before when I got stuck, my husband and I started doing "2 a days". We walked both morning and evening. That really kicked it but it gets dark so early now... excuses, excuses, excuses! My joints feel a ton better than they did and I am on my last 10 lbs which is great but so slow, I feel like I am wading through molasses! Anyway, thanks for listening to my whining and I will keep you in my thoughts and send good vibes your way! JR

Good morning!! Oh goodness...the dreaded plateau! I dread hitting one of those...they were usually my downfalls in other diets. BUT..I truly believe that NS is different...I think I will be able to stay on program like you have done knowing that something will have to give soon.ha Have a great day!!
