I lost 2.6 pounds last week, for a total of 11.8 pounds gone in the first month! I'm thrilled!! I also barely ate anything because of not feeling well, but I did drink a lot to try to flush out my cold/virus. I figured my body would hold on to what food I did eat. <br><br>Now, the challenge will be to keep it off now that I'm feeling better & am eating regularly again!! <br><br>I'm now down a total of 8.8 pounds since signing up for NS. I am, at the end of Day 4 on the Nutrisystem food/program and I have
already learned my lesson!!! What lesson?? The healthy food lesson.<br><br>I
have been really bummed out today because the account I work on has
TONS of reports to get done (I'm a medical transcriptionist if you
didn't know) and it seems like the numbers aren't going down at all
today. I know other people are working on the account besides me, but
the number still seems insurmountable that needs to be done by Monday
morning. I really, really, really hate working on Sundays. When I
worked outside the home, I would just flat out say that I wouldn't work
on Sundays. It is against my religion & I don't like doing it
anyway. However, now that I'm working at home, it's hard to say "no"
sometimes when I know the work is there to be done. I'm having a really
hard time staying away from it on Sunday even though I know I shouldn't
do it.<br><br>I'm supposed to do 6-8 hours of work on Saturdays because
this one account wants their Friday work done by Monday morning
(instead of Monday afternoon like most accounts) because they see their
Friday patients again on Monday most of the time. Right now, since
Samantha is still home during the week, I don't work all that many
hours during the week, so I work more on Saturday since Richard is home
to watch the girls.<br><br>Anyway, it's been really hard for me to get
all 6-8 hours in on Saturday. I get distracted or take a nap & just
don't get it all in before I'm too tired to stay up longer. Therefore,
I end up doing a little on Sunday even though I really don't want to.<br><br>Today,
since it seems like the numbers aren't moving much at all, I think I'm
going to end up having to do more tomorrow to help the account.<br><br>Therefore....
tonight I was feeling frustrated for myself for giving in to taking a
nap earlier & also for fussing with this blog this morning (my
table didn't work right away & Richard had to code it right)
instead of working first thing this morning. I was frustrated at myself
for not getting the hours in that I should have today. I was also
frustrated that I'll have to work tomorrow because of my own issues
today and also since there are so many jobs to still be done. I started
being frustrated at everything.<br><br>Richard called when they were on
their way home from swimming at Emily's (Richard's sister) & I
asked what they planned on doing for dinner since he hadn't gone
grocery shopping yet today. He said he didn't know & asked why. I
said how frustrated I was & said that I just didn't feel like
eating Nutrisystem even though I should. They ended up deciding to eat
at Sonic. I asked him to get me a burger with bacon, tater tots with
cheese, and a Diet Coke with vanilla flavoring..... just normal size.<br><br>I
learned my lesson...... Yes, it was comfort food...... Yes, it made my
frustrations go away temporarily...... BUT.... it didn't fill me up for
as long as the healthy Nutrisystem food does.... AND it went right
through me (no further description necessary).<br><br>From now on, no
matter what happens.... no matter how frustrated I get.... no matter
how badly I want comfort food.... I'm telling my mind & body NO!!!
I need to eat healthy from now on!! I know there will be times when I
won't have my Nutrisystem food with me for one reason or another.
However, in those instances, I will choose the healthiest choice
available and not the greasy burger with greasy bacon and greasy tater
tots that just make me feel worse later on than before I ate them!<br><br>Besides
that "slip up" I have had a good NS day. Richard is grocery shopping
now & I sent him with a big list of grocery store foods from my NS
list. I know that it has only been 1/2 a week & not a full week, but I like to weigh myself on Saturdays. Anyway, I lost 0.6 of a pound. I really think I lost a lot of my "water" weight before my NS food go here, since I lost 3 pounds in a few days before my food arrived. I didn't exercise too much this week either though. I'm at 294.2 pounds now! <br><br>I'm just glad I didn't gain!! I'm looking forward to a bigger loss next Saturday. <br><br>I haven't done my measurements since October 2008, so I'm going to have my husband help me do those when he gets up this morning. That way I have a better starting point for those too. <br><br>I have a full day of work today. I wish there was a better list of fruits/veggies & a better way to find them. Tonight, with dinner, I had some celery. I was going to count it as a vegetable serving, but couldn't find it anywhere. Then, I clicked on the "Salad or Fruit" and celery showed up on that list. If I counted my celery there, I can't count the strawberries I had there. I couldn't find celery on the other list to add it to "add other food" either. <br><br>I think I'm just going to start writing down my food for the day or using SparkPeople or some other site that does better at the grocery store items & then just end up typing in all the info for the NS food on the other site. <br><br>Overall, though, I had a great first day on the program. I'm stuffed & haven't even had my dessert yet. We had our Wii in the pawn shop for the last 6 months or so & finally got it out last night. I tried to do the Wii Fit today & only ended up doing 15 minutes before my legs started cramping & I was tired out. My first shipment arrives today & I think I'm going to keep my weigh-in day for Saturday because it's easier for me to remember. However, I decided to weigh myself this morning just to know what I'm at before starting the NS food. <br><br><b>I lost 3.4 pounds since Saturday!!!</b><br><br>I've been trying to watch what I eat & trying to get in all my water the last few days, but I never thought I'd lose 3 pounds before even starting on the NS food!! <br><br>My husband went grocery shopping last night & I had him buy more fruits & veggies (he didn't actually buy that many of them a few days ago as I thought he would). I can't wait to get started on the program. I was just looking at the calendar and trying to decide on a mini goal. My ultimate goal is losing 145 pounds, but that goal seems almost insurmoutable right now. <br><br>My birthday is 8 weeks away.... going by the 2-pounds-per-week rule, it'd be 16 pounds, but I'm going to bump it up to a 20-pound goal. <br><br>By August 1, 2009, when I turn 34 years old, I want to be down 20 pounds..... at least. That would bring me to 278 -- it'd be great if I could be to 275 by then, but I'm not going to squabble over a few pounds b/c I think just getting to 278 will be wonderful. If I lose more than that -- great -- but I think that 20 pounds is reasonable. <br><br>I am not-so-patiently waiting for my shipment to come. We bought our first home a few months ago & I haven't ever gotten a UPS package here yet, so I don't know what time of day they deliver. My neighbor got a package once around 3 PM, but I don't know if they always come then or not..... but I'll be waiting by the door!!
