Annoyed with NS & shipping!
Okay.... I know it's June... I know it's hot... I know my shipment has things with chocolate in it..... I realize my UPS guy didn't deliver until 5:15 PM so the chocolate was in his truck all day long..... BUT.... I wish NS would find a better way to ship things that will melt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess one spot of my fridge will be friends with my bars for the next 3-4 months!

Just had to vent..... Other than that, I'm glad my shipment came today. It's my first shipment. I'm glad I can have an  NS dinner tonight!!

I was a bit annoyed that my ice cream melted! It arrived in a styroform box, but there wasnt any ice bags in it to keep it cool! I agree...NS should devise a way to maximize the quality of the foods they ship out.

Good luck!! You'll do great!

Seriously and I guess it is a good thing for me. My UPS though trucks come and go every morning and afternoon I notice anything I get via them they are always about dinner time up to about 7P. Suspect we are the last enroute back to the UPS place that isn't far from here.

It is intersting considering warm weather here and coming and in Oregon western part we are unseasonably warm for this time of year. Norm for us is in the low 70's but we are experiencing a high of mid to upper 80's and warm breezes. Anyway why don't they ship melting stuff using this Schwams delivery method if I have that spelled right. Another thing why can't we have a choice of mix or match? Meaning if we would like some 'ice cream' or such for dessert let it be on the menu right? Can't have everything but can wish.

I hope you are willing to stick with the program as I am coming down or off the 1st month myslf. Being up there in years figuring I know what is best for me food wise. How that is a laugh if true what am I doing here at Nutrisystems? Well it is my last ditch effort in trying to get my own act together and live long enough to enjoy at least 10-15 years of' sobriety from over indulgenece in the food arena that is. Yes I did exactly what part of the book we get says to be aware of. Small departures can lead to bigger ones. A-men, been there, tried that and oh my gosh. No pounds gained but none lost during that trial and error. My only other issue is though I do like to walk have a dog as a steady companion but getting up and going is where my problem is. And I even have a borrowed stair stepper manual machine collecting dust. I wll stop here, hope you don't give up before you get started. Take a deep breath, pour water on your head so someting to 'cool those jets' as a good friend of mine suggests each time I feel the need to vent. After all that word was invented for some reason.

I live in Hawaii, and have given up on the chocolate stuff. However, chocolate cookies and chocolate biscotti seem to hold up well in warm weather.

I agree with fatbody! I live in Oklahoma. I figured I would live without chocolate for a while. But there is still NS choc pudding. It is powder and you make it yourself! Choc chip cookies too. I think the fudge brownies would be ok in the heat and chocolate pound cake too! Never tried the choc biscotti! I have eaten the chop chip scone for breakfast too! So, cheer up! Or you could order some of the frozen desserts!

I have delayed my NS shipment for another 2 weeks..will probably be hotter than blazes by then. I guess if NS can't provide the correct shipping method, I can do some comparative shopping for granola bars..and desserts. See if I can buy something in my local grocery. I NEED CHOCOLATE.LOL I know others have done that and have come up with VERY close items.

Thanks for the comments & thoughts! I hadn't even really thought about it when I ordered the chocolate stuff. I guess I'll just change my order & avoid them for the summer. I'm not a big chocolate eater anyway, which I guess is a good thing with it melting. I noticed a bar that had yogurt type stuff on the bottom was squishy too, so I just put all my bars in the fridge for now. I'll probably just avoid those in my order until it cools down here (which will be in September or October since I'm in TX)!
