Do I DARE????

I set a goal of 160 and I reached it. And now I am at 156.6. In the deep corners of my mind, I dreamed of weighing 155....but 150 was about as possible as someone asking me to star in a movie.

Should I go for it??? Or will I just be disappointed if I cannot maintain at that weight? I stayed at 160 for 3 weeks with absolutely NO NS food except at breakfast and the dessert. But this week, I decided to do NS for lunch as well. For supper, I just eat a regular meal, keeping in mind to measure out the portions. Like the other night when I made beef stew and biscuits, I had ONE cup of beef stew and ONE biscuit. I made lasagna another night, and I measured one cup...and instead of the garlic bread, I had green beans. Nothing real extravagant going on for me in maintainance. Just trying to eat regular foods, but a lot less of it. (and I still have lots of NS meals saved for the nights I feel like the food is too fattening or too heavy)

But anyway...I am wondering if I should shoot for 150. That's just 6.6 pounds....but hmmm...I don't know. Maybe I should  just keep eating right and working out like I have been and see where my body takes me????

That sounds like a great plan! It is your body, your life and you can do anything you set your mind to - you've already proven that! Your journey so far ha been incredible. Enjoy the rest and see where it takes you. You look great!

I agree, see what your body does for a while since there is no hurry to get to 150. You might just find yourself there on your own. Also remember that the important thing is to be healthy - that magic number is different for everyone. You do look fantastic, congratulations on reaching your goal AND staying there!

Do what your body is dictating to you. You know best the stress and daily life you are living. Would it be feasable for you to be at 150 and stay there with the daily life you live. Just saying....Goood luck and congrats on reaching your goal.

Do what makes you feel great. It's that easy. If you feel you need to lose a bit more, then go for it. You look great to me. Congrats Dottie.

Ditto--do what makes you feel good. If going for the 150 just to see if you can do it and maintain it is inviting--go for it! Just be ready when Hollywood comes knocking for that starring movie role! :)

I like hearing your maintenance plan--sounds very common sense and doable.

I was happy to run across your post today. Your maintenance sounds very reasonable. And I think you look great at the weight you are now.

You do look great now, but if you would like to know if you can maintain at 150 I would say to go ahead and do it. You won't ever know unless you try. It doesn't sound unreasonable to me, and while you are learning to maintain it sounds to me like you could easily do 150.

Go for it!!

OMG, I didn't even realize who you were. You look absolutely amazing. I think if reaching that goal is important to you than you should do it for yourself. You look great now -- but only you can determine what your ideal weight is.

I have no advice about goals. I just want to say that I am proud of you, and jealous, of course. You look fantastic. What a wonderful thing you have done.

Have you checked with a counselor or doctor about your ideal weight? They may be able to give you the advice you need. They sure helped me! I'm maintaining pretty well also but still take NS for lunch...too simple to just grab a package, throw some lettuce in a container and go. Hope you do well. You look great...dj
