HO HUM 2nd Weigh in Today
Lost 2.6 pounds this week. Is this good? Some one please tell me. I keep reading how so many of you lost more than that in the first week. I am 100% NS. Why is this so slow for me? I am not expecting to lose a tremendous amount in one week, but I a litte more than 3 lbs. I am exercising and doing things right. The first week I lost 3 lbs. When I read on this site that people lose 5 lbs and above, I get a little frustrated. Don't get me wrong I feel the difference in my waist, but why is it so darn slow..........

Hi - I don't usually respond to these, but you sound so much like I always have - a little disappointed by a slow loss. But, let me tell you, losing it slow is the only way to go! I guess it's based on how much you have to lose and what your prior eating habits were, but the first week, I lost almost 4 pounds, but most of it was water weight. I have been on a lot of quick weight loss diets, lost a lot of weight, and put it all right back on. This system gets you a consistent weight loss, teaches you to train your body to smaller portions (my biggest issue), and the food isn't half bad! Hang in there, you'll get it. I'm three weeks and 10 pounds lost. If I wasn't on the system, then I'd be three weeks and 10 pounds heavier than I am now!

Your weight loss is just like mine. First week, 2.8, second week, 2.8. I'm happy to be at 5.6, but I'd be happier to be at 10, right???!!! Every person's body is different and we will all go at our own rates. Someone once said, and I'm going to screw up the quote, "Every 1/10 of a pound lost is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick." Something like that... :) Good luck, be patient, you're taking good care of yourself whether the scale is cooperating or not.

You can't compare yourself with others. There are several factors that play into it and you're right on with your loss, they say the best is 1-2# a week, for the longterm effects. Just relax and you are doing GREAT. Betti

According to a call to the nutritionist, 1% of your total body weight is considered a healthy weight loss--everyone will be different. And consider it--have you ever lost a couple pounds a week eating constantly and never being hungry? Gotta love that!

Patience and perseverance = success!

The slow loss is probably better for you in the long run, but oh how frustrating it can be...I know...I have been there. I think basically, it depends on your body, your dieting history, and several other things..that determine how you lose. I have been on every diet known to mankind and failed at all of them. I have NEVER (I am 60 years old) lost over 20 lbs. Well, with NS, I have lost 26 lbs. in a month. I have 100+ lbs. to lose and that probably is part of why I am loosing so fast. I know it will slow down eventually. If you are doing this 100% NS, eating all you are allowed, and drinking all your water, then they tell me it is a no-brainer. One great piece of advise I got on here when I began was that I would lose my weight in my head first and the body would follow. That made sense to me. So, keep your mindset in gear, keep focused, believe, and do all you are supposed to do to keep 100% and the weight will have to fall off eventually. With not much effort on my part, my 26 lbs. have just melted off. It is amazing and I am still afraid I will wake up and this has all been a dream. God bless you on your journey!!

Thank you all from the bottom of heart as always for your support. I will keep focused and continue to forge forward. I found in my freezer a frozen entennmen's deviled chocolate donut which I have been dancing around since this morning. You have all just given me a reality check so I took a break before I finished this blog and just eliminated it down the insinkerator!

I lost ZERO pounds my first week and 2 the second. Talk about a SLOW start. But I have reached my goal and I am glad I did not give up. Hang in there and just enjoy it...don't worry about how fast or slow it comes off.
