Hooray! Today is my weigh-in day and I am officially past the halfway mark. I went on a trip a couple of weeks ago and did not stick to NS 100% but tried to make good choices. It must have worked because I actually lost a couple of pounds that week and this week I was back on the NS track and exercised every day and I was rewarded for my hard work because a lost a few more pounds which put me past the halfway mark. I don't post a lot of blogs but I read the blogs everyone else posts every day. I find it helps me keep my eyes on the prize.

I just finished my first 5k in years in 34:38. Not speedy but my goal was to run the whole way and I DID IT! I have to give credit to the Couch to 5k program. I just finished week 9 last Thursday. My next goal is the 10k Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning. Thanks for all the support from other NS members I know I can do it.

We're going to my mother-in-laws for several days and I need tips for staying on the NS plan while I'm travelling.  It's a 12 hour drive and our dogs will be with us so I  won't be eating in restaurants along the way, just drive-thru and what I can take in the car.  I am taking my entrees to eat while at moms but we'll be going to a rodeo and a football game so too many temptations I'm afraid.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I just finished week 3 and the scale is very happy.  I'm down a total of 14.8 lbs.  I love this program and especially all the kind and encouraging words from all of you.

My second weigh-in and I'm down 11.2 pounds so I added the first Nutribear on my page.  I didn't want to wait until I get one in my order before posting it.  I'm ecstatic!

 

    

Last night I felt like I couldn't finish my dinner.  The spagetti with meat sauce and I added mushrooms and bell peppers. It was tasty but after I got half way through I felt very full then trying to get the last bites down I felt over stuffed.  I know it's important to eat all of the food and last night was the fisrt time I thought I couldn't eat it all.  If you feel that stuffed should you still eat all the food?  Aren't we also supposed to be learning good eating habits like quit eating when we're full?

I'm only on the program a week and I was doing cardio even before I started NS.  I would like to start doing the weight machines at the gym but don't want to pack on lbs at the same time.  I've read where lifting weights will help your body burn more fat which I'm all about.  Is there a period where I may gain weight at first?

I just started the program last Sunday and already I'm down 8 lbs.. I know it is not typical but I think because I had such bad habits before, following the NS plan 100% melted away these first pounds quickly.  I only exercised two days because of a bad cold so success is all NS. I've been on this website every day and the support has really helped too.

Hello,

I'm on day 5 of NS and so far so good.  I haven't had a problem staying on the program but my hubby wants to plan dinner out one night a week.  We used to eat out 2 - 3 nights a week so I agreed to once a week to help him cope with me being on the program.  I need tips please.  How can I not blow the progress I've made all week in one night of eating out?
