Today was a busy crazy day - had my first frittata - added egg whites and cooked on the stove - it was surprisingly good - thanks to all that said "don't prejudge - just try it!" I understand now what you mean about keep a couple of the bars in your desk for those hectic days - I had two walk in clients and lots of fires to put out at work and never had time for lunch.....frustrating....I was hungry - wish I would have had one of the bars to grab. I had an apple at my desk that I was able to grab bites between call but I did NOT reach for the candy or pretzels in the office - it didn't even cross my mind! Dinner was my Mom in Laws b-day - I walked in with a V8 in hand and we had meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots and a whole wheat roll. Normally I would have 2 pieces of meat loaf to start and go back for more - instead, when the food was going around the table, I took lots of green beans and carrots. a portion of potatoes the size that is in a NS meal and a half piece of meat loaf and one roll - I was suprisingly full!! I brought dessert - big fruit salad and Mini eclairs - the fruit salad all went!! Since I have over 100# to lose, I'm supposed to add some foods. I hadn't know this - still figuring it out. Loved the Black Bean and Rice lunch! I'll definately get that one again. Made me pretty gassy though so may have to make sure I don't have clients scheduled right after lunch if I'm going to bring it to work. :) Supper was a different story. Had the Swedish Style Meatballs with Pasta and Sauce. Problem was, there were no meatballs!!! Called the toll free number but was told that I needed to call customer service tomorrow but the woman said that as long as she have worked for NS, she never heard that one!! I wasn't overly thrilled with the taste of that one though so I dont' think it will be on my top ten list. Had it with fresh asparagus - one of my favorites!! The oatmeal raisin cookie was very good too. And I got my grocery shopping done. Got some fresh raspberries for tomorrow - going to either put them in pancakes or over cereal - will have to see what I feel like in the am. Also got egg white. nice fast low fat protein to keep on hand. Talked with my mother in law - don't want her knowing I'm doing Nutrisystem because I don't need her watching everything I put into my mouth when I'm over her home. Bringing 2 lunches, 2 dinners and 2 snack bars to keep in the office and a couple more snack bars to keep in the car to avoid the "pull of the drive through" and grabbing a bottle of water on my way out the door. Ok, I'm ready!! More tonight on how I did. Never thought I would ever blog in my life but all your comments are very encouraging and educational. Keep telling me what you do to help you stay on the program and make this truly life style change. I'm tired of being tired and out of shape and having back and knee pain. Wasn't expecting that. And not feeling warm and fuzzy about dehydrated frittata.... really not what I expected. Most breakfast items look normal and haven't opened of the packages to see what the food actually looks like. I think I'll take several lunch items to work with me tomorrow incase I don't like something, I can try something else. Glad I get the extra week of food. May need it to have to replace something if I don't like it. Also, I didn't choose and lunch bars because franky,&nbsp;I don't think&nbsp; a bar is lunch. But the free lunches sent me some of these. So I guess I'll try them. I think the biggest adjustment is going to be the portion sizes. Need to check out the tips and recipes of what to have with these items to not leave me hungry and grabbing the wrong stuff that is around the office. Yesterday, I was good on my own. GoLean waffles for breakfast, home made low fat chili for lunch and a steak tip ceasar salad with pita pocket for supper - drank 4x8 oz water. An apple in the afternoon and only 1 cookie in the evening. Also had 3 mini tootsie rolls during the day when normally I would have had 20. Was able to get on the Nutrisystem chat last night. Not what I expected. Unless I was initiating conversation about the program or asking questions, the chat room was all over the place with nothing really being said. Looking for an addition to my support system there, especially as a newby.
