At first, I had very few cravings. Now they seem to hit me more often, and harder. Maybe I have been thinking I am getting used to NS, so I have been mentally slacking off. I have been trying to tell myself what I still can have. That helps a lot. I may not be able to eat my grandson's birthday cake, but I can take a NS cake with me to eat at his party--worked pretty well when I did that.
Yesterday, I took my daughter and grandkids to a discount grocery. I was not expecting to be bombarded with fresh bakery smells, like doughnuts and bread. I really wanted to visit the bakery, and get something to eat. I resisted, but it became even harder when my grandkids began to point out and ask for doughnuts and cookies. I did not buy them any because I was pretty sure I would end up eating some, too. Instead, I bought them fruit roll-ups, bananas, and juice (100%) boxes. They were happy, and I was able to stick to my diet.
