Yesterday, I went with several teachers and a group of students to Denver (about 180 miles away) to see A Christmas Carol. It was a great performance, but I was cold most of the day.  The bus ride home was the worst. I was able to eat healthy even when we went to an Italian restaurant for lunch.

I can't believe I've had meetings every day after school this week!  It would have been nice to come home at least once this week before dark.  Oh, well.
At first, I had very few cravings.  Now they seem to hit me more often, and harder.  Maybe I have been thinking I am getting used to NS, so I have been mentally slacking off.  I have been trying to tell myself what I still can have.  That helps a lot.  I may not be able to eat my grandson's birthday cake, but I can take a NS cake with me to eat at his party--worked pretty well when I did that.

Yesterday, I took my daughter and grandkids to a discount grocery.  I was not expecting to be bombarded with fresh bakery smells, like doughnuts and bread.  I really wanted to visit the bakery, and get something to eat.  I resisted, but it became even harder when my grandkids began to point out and ask for doughnuts and cookies.  I did not buy them any because I was pretty sure I would end up eating some, too.  Instead, I bought them fruit roll-ups, bananas, and juice (100%) boxes.  They were happy, and I was able to stick to my diet.
