Concerned
I have been so faithful on my diet and I am so afraid that I haven't lost any weight for the 2nd week in a row.  Tomorrow is the date that I weigh in but I am worried because I too have been checking the scale daily and I had seen a slight weight loss but today it showed the same.  I know you flucuate daily so I am going to have to quit weighing daily so I don't get bummed out.  I can't afford to continue this diet much longer if I don't see results as I just don't have the cash to do so.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.

have you been to your dr lately? I found out that I was insulin resistant and with that it becomes very difficult for you to lose weight. I'm not a dr and not very good at explaining this...but, your body does not break down sugar properly because your body is resisting the break down of the insulin. i started on a byetta shot that really helped me kickstart my weight loss last time. This could not even apply to you, but I had the same sort of problem when I first started dieting. I was going hardcore and not losing anything and it didn't make sense.

A seasoned dieter, here's what I learned to do to avoid the plateaus: Start with dieting, then gradually add exercise into your routine. A little the 1st 2 weeks, maybe just 15 minutes walking 3 times a week. Then add little more the next 2 weeks, maybe 15 minutes 4-5 times a week or 30 minutes twice a week. Then introduce some gym work in, again very gradually. The idea is NOT to let your body 'adjust' to any one level of diet and exercise combination... that's when the plateaus happen. Keep varying it.

Hang in there! You also may want to see if your measurements have changed. A lot of times you can lose inches but you're not seing much difference on the scale. Exercise is another great tip mentioned before. I always tell my friends, something is better than nothing at all. (Not that you're doing nothing, I don't know!) And finally, about the doctor, you may want to get a thorough blood test and get your thyroid checked. An underactive thyroid gland can SEVERELY inhibit your ability to lose weight, but there's a medicine for it. Hope you see some results!!

Stick with it if you can! If you haven't had a checkup with your Dr., you should.

Your post doesn't say if you are exercising or not -- it really is key. I know that there are different ways of doing things for different people, but....it might help to stay OFF the scale, which you can do if you stay STRICTLY on plan, and of course, exercise.

I have not weighed myself at all. Started in Feb., exerciese at least 6 days per week, and am now down from a size 20+ to a size 10. You don't need to know the pounds...its how you feel that's important -- you'll know you're losing when your clothes don't fit (in a good way, of course!).

GOOD LUCK!
