Newbie - NS Just ordered today
I sure hope this helps get me back on track. Usually the last on my list with three kids under 10, full-time IT work and married. Usually to tired to mess with figuring out what is healthy; I just want to eat something that tastes good and is fast. I hate making food decisions too... I'd like to wake up 40lbs lighter just because I signed up. Is that so unreasonable???!

Hi..Let me tell you that you can and will do this...In your first shipment you will get a book and in that book you will see that you will need to shop for your add in's...which will be dairy/protein and fruits....Proteins I would recommend would be...egg whites, vegen boca burgers, white tuna....dairy...the light and fit dannon yogurts, weight watchers string cheese, or like that....the first week will be the most difficult until you're in your routine...also, try to space your meals out every 1-3 hrs. or whatever is good for you...and please drink all your waters...8-8ozs. or more a day....that's the key to it all!!!

I wish you much success....you'll find your way!!!

Welcome .. you are embarking on a journey that will change your life forever. You are definitely in the right place. I tried Adtkins, South Beach , LA Weight Loss, Weight Watchers & I 'm sold out on NS... here are a few tips to help you along the way. … In the beginning I actually chose the entrees that were heavier. I chose add in / grocery items like cherry tomatoes, apples, oranges, fresh pineapple . String cheese , eggs. Go for the bulk especially the first week. These foods “ stick to your ribs” The white sauces and some of the chicken entrees need a little help. I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray has become my new best friend ! McCormick Vegetable Supreme, McCormick Red pepper & roasted garlic seasoning, McCormck basil & garlic. Sautéing the vegetables, baking the vegetables. Saute cabbage with the McCormick red pepper is really yummy The water is critical. Design a plan that works best for you with a 8 glass minimum, more is better. Never go more than four hours between meals. DO NOT MICROWAVE the scrambled eggs, and the cup noodle entrees must to be cooked on stovetop or pour boiling water & cover tightly for 15 minutes or other wise crunchy.. Warm the breakfast pastries in the microwave. I spritz a bit of I cant’ believe it’s not butter on the pastry & warm for a few seconds. The pastries are really yummy prepared this way. I keep baked fresh mushrooms on hand at all times. I give the pizzas a helping hand by spraying a small baking dish with nonstick butter spray then placing diced green onion, diced green , orange & yellow sweet peppers, 5 black olives sliced, 1 oz FF ham diced ( afternoon protein serving ) & fresh baked mushrooms baking until veggies tender. Bake pizza for 2.5 minutes before topping with veggie mix then return to oven & bake for remaining 2.5 minutes. Pizza is one of my favorites. I use the on line meal planner to stay accountable. NS is the best decision ever & I’m lovin’ it. Keep reading the blogs, always good information there … I began the program Jan 22 & have lost 34 pounds & the best part is the 8.5 inches gone from my waist line… & the 8 inches lost from my hips ! the only difference between me & you is time… stay 100% 24/7 , you will be glad you did !

You will do fine! I was a member from Oct 06 to Mar 07 and lost 40lbs. I still have kept off 23lbs but lately have been snacking more and more, so I am going to return and get back to my goal weight.
The program is easy and satisfying. Even maintenance was OK, but my downfall was thinking I could snack some each night. It creeps up quickly.
Also, I am 58yrs old. If I can lose it , you surely can!

Wow, Thank you all for your comments! Glad to hear of your successes and challenges. Although, I don't have the food yet - I did tell my lunch buddies with mixed reviews. One is interested in the potential of it and encouraging another just said 'You won't like the food'. I asked if she tried she said no. Oh well, I will be printing out your tips so I remember to use the seasonings and add-ins. I hate being hungry; most people around me hate when I am hungry too.. LOL

This will change our social lunch dynamic-off to the restaurants... we really treasure that time. Perhaps there are some addins at the restaurants that will help with that transistion! I always joke; lunches are the only reason I go to work!
