A Little Bit Goes A Long Way
So I've been doing NS for 2 weeks now (well 2 1/2 weeks).  I weigh and measure once a week on Monday mornings.  Each week I've only lost .4 of a pound...so a total of .8 of a pound in 2 weeks.  That doesn't seem like much, and I'll be honest, when I stepped on the scale (especially the first week) and saw that small amount of loss, I was disappointed.  But then I started to do a little self talk.  I tell myself that .4 of a pound lost is better than .4 of a pound gained (or more).  .4 of a pound x 4 weeks (in a month)=1.2 pounds lost a month.  .4 of a pound x 52 weeks (in a year)=20.8 pounds lost.  That doesn't seem like much for a year, but it's better than staying the same...or gaining.  If I wasn't trying at all, that's what I would be doing.  A year ago, I weighed close to what I weigh now (+/- 5 pounds).  Wouldn't it be nice if I weighed 20.8 pounds less this year than last year?  And 20.8 pounds x 5 years...that's 104 pounds!  Wouldn't it be nice if I weighed 104 pounds less this year than I did 5 years ago!?!?  So that .4 pounds doesn't seem so bad.  A little bit goes a long way...

I love that attitude! A loss is a loss and you're right, no matter how little it is better than a gain. One thing I've noticed about NS is that the weight loss is consistent. I used to fluctuate about 8 pounds +/- but since I started the program I have had no flux.

You are right you got to not let the scale pyshe you out. You are making progress and that is big! Also I bet you feel better and that is so important. Math helps me and it looks like it helps you so remember the numbers and keep it up!
