Higher education and change.
Saving coins means you will have a College Fund someday. As I sat at the kitchen table counting out state quarters my son smiled at me when I told him it was his College Fund. We have been saving change for years now. Sure I use a lot of change but when my purse would get too heavy I would empty the change in a bowl on my dresser and when the bowl would get too full, I would empty it into a bag. My DH put his in a jar. I thought one of these days we will have to start rolling it up to take it to the bank. My kids would say what are you saving that for and I would just say to pay for college for you one day. They would just laugh. Last week my DH started to roll some coins up and rolled up over $440.. Today I told him he should roll some of the state quarters I had been saving. It came to $420. And that was just the state quarters. That is enough rolling for one day. Every little bit will help and this change will help to education my children.
We went to pick up the barbeque plates at the school for lunch. They did a fund raiser, so you know what I ate for lunch. Chicken, slaw, baked beans, and I didn’t eat the bread or the brownie that came with it. Yes I ate too much chicken, but I think protein is good for you anyways.
Eric said the SAT was hard because they had a football game going on the whole time and that’s all they could here. I still hope he did well.
I hope your having a great day.
Love Marie
