Day Five and all is well on this home front. How are you doing?

Good morning friends. It’s a rainy one here in NE GA. I took the day off work yesterday and Eddie and I went to the butchers to pick up our beef. It total filled the empty freezer and half the stand up one. We ran out of room. We also had plenty to share with out neighbors and the girl that works with me. It was all deep frozen so we could only try the ground beef last night. It was so perfect. This was the first time we sent anything to the butchers and we are so glad we did. It was so worth it. Nothing like your own meat.

Well here I go with day five. So far so good. I also got my hair cut yesterday, so I will have to spend some time before work with it. You know how that goes. LOL Have a great day everyone.

Love Marie

Marie, I'm glad to hear you're on track. When I was a kid we had some friends give us half a beef and yeah it tasted so much better. Have a terrific day my friend. Betti

Hey Marie, I am 100 % as of right now. I hope to stay that way. I have had a hard time staying on plan. My son is home sick today. He came home with a temp. of 101.2 yesterday. He sounds like CRAP. I hope I don't get it. I start my job tomarrow at 11:00 AM. Keep on plan today, Marie you are doing great!! Carol

Good morning, Ms. Bright and Cheery!!

Glad to see your day is off to such a great start. I may drive by to help you get rid of some of that extra fresh meat...LOL!!

We (meaning me and the pooch) just got back from our walk and now it's down to school work, (as soon as I stop blogging!)

Have a great day :o)

I miss having the annual butchering of the yearling! As a kid, we'd have a calf and a hog that we gave extra special care to in order to butcher in the fall. Mom would even use the pig fat to make homemade lard! Healthy, huh? Sure wish we had some more beef! dj

"Honey, do you know what happened to the cow?" There's something we don't say in the Bay Area! I was just lamenting the fact that we don't have a big freezer. It would be nice to know there is an endless supply of beef available...I love meat! Sounds like things are going well for you, Marie. I am glad. Shannon
