FREAKY FRIDAY CHALLENGE**** GOOD MORNING EVERYONE.

Welcome to the  Freaky Friday Challenge for the month of June. Now is the time to get ready for summer and what a great way to start with a challenge.  You will need to post your pledge to lose 2 to 10 pounds and your beginning weight.  Remember Friday to Friday weigh ins so everyone will be the same.   

We will report our loss on the Freaky Friday Challenge blog parties each FridayReport right here on any of my Freaky Friday Challenge blogs (Letsmove). 

Stay 100% on plan.  Eating 3 meals, 1 snack, 1 dessert and drinking 8-10 glasses of water everyday, not just some days.  Follow the plan Nutrisystem has put you on.

Exercise 3 to 4 days each week for 20-40 minutes at a time.  Walking is a great way to start exercising. I walk some everyday and wear a pedometer. A pedometer is a wonderful little motivator that is worth every penny.  Wal-mart carries them for around $4-$5.

Report your loss on my blog (Letsmove) on Fridays or before if needed.  This is a commitment and is a big part of this challenge. 

We will have the biggest blog party each Friday and that is where you will report your loss for that week. We will have an Award Ceremony on Saturdays on the challenge blog to celebrate all your victories. Check in daily and report your good and off days, but not weight until fridays.

Good morning my dear friends.  You know summer is almost here when the kids get out of school.  That means easy laid back days ahead for some of us but not all.  Later mornings and later nights. The kids are running here and there already which means moms and dads are running too.  Which can unset your normal planning of meals.  Remember to take care of you too.  Plan ahead as much as you can and drink lots of water.  You may want to buy some extra bottled water since your children will be grabbing more of those bottles too. We went to go see Indiana Jones last night, so that meant I ate some popcorn(butterless) and a coke zero.  Always remember never to get on the scale the day after eating popcorn at the movies.  Popcorn with salt will retain every oz. of liquid in your cells making that scale go up for the day.  So do yourself a big favor and save yourself the freak out by staying off the scale.

Good Morning Marie, question.  In regards to eating stuff like popcorn - I know that it will retain water for you - but how long does it normally take for the retained water to be let go?   Should it be a day or two, or is that one of those things that varies.   Have a wonderful day.  Judy

Good morning Judy.  It was a little strange but it was good.  Not as good as the earier Indy movies. Eric (15yr. old) was disappointed in it.  At least 24 hours with the popcorn.  You will notice the day after you will be bloated in the morning with some swelling in your fingers too.  Marie

Thanks Marie, I do notice the swelling in my fingers right away when I have had something with salt.  One other thing I want to check into is if a sunburn causes water retention.  During Memorial Day weekend, I took Brittany to the public pool for an hour.  As I sat out and read (because I don't have a suit that fits yet) I got some sunburn on my legs.  For the next several days, they felt swollen.  I also liked the earlier Indy movies better - but just looking at Harrison Ford for a couple of hours is always enjoyable (grin).  Judy

Hum!  I don't know about that Judy.  I do know that when you get a sunburn it takes all the moisture out of your skin, thus the burn.  The best thing you can do if you get burnt is to remember to put some heavy moisturizer on it as soon as you can and drink water. Remember to put sunscreen on yourself as well as Britty and anyother children.  We want to protect our skin and our health as much as we can.  Have a great day.  Marie

Looks like I almost missed this challenge.  I hope it's not too late to get added.  You know I'm always in for a good challenge.  My weight as of last Friday (I think that's when you started it) was 199.....if it's just starting today my wieght is 200 (up and pound and not sure why :o)
I would like to lose 10 pounds for the complete Freaky Friday Challenge.

my weight on friday was 191lbs. i wanna lose 8lbs for the challenge. that's a lot for me actually, cuz i've been losing so slowly lately... (i'm really busy and stressed out though) but i figure if i wanna reach my "japan goal" i gotta kick myself in the booty... so i'm gonna TRY TRY TRY to exercise everyday (oh dear, just thinking about it is giving me unpleasant feelings) so i can reach that...    

In other matters, i have a funny story to share. there's this guy in my Japanese class, and i'm pretty sure he's got a crush on me. unfortunately, he is not my type at all, but it's just kinda nice, you know? i haven't received any male attention in... a good long while :p Have a good day!
