Freaky Friday Challenge and 100% on plan all this week.

Just had my dinner and I am full and tired.  What a long day at work today.  Oh yes the stress of not having enough money to go around finally chased me out of my office for the day.  Stress is a hard thing to deal with sometimes.  When it builds up from one day to another without a break it is also hard on your body.  Yes you may not even know it's getting to you, but over time it will take a toll on your body, even when you can clear your mind. You know that pain in your back or in your neck and /or shoulder.  Yes that is stress attacking your body.  You know that extra roll in your middle and on your back?  That's caused by stress too. When your body releases too much cortisol for too long, we get fat.  Yep I said it, fat and sick.  Release that stress by exercising, take time off, getting out of the area or away from the person who is causing all the stress.  Remove yourself from the stress makers if you can.  Get some quiet time.

Today I have been 100% on plan and when I weighed myself I am back to where I was 8 days ago.  How was your day?

100% on plan and going strong!

Total NSV - My co-workers BF walked into the office and told me I was getting skinny... 14lbs even loss today! What a great motivation for me to keep it up and step it up. I want this so bad, and it's working so it gives me a great reason to keep pushing forward.

BF had a great NSV too - He put on a pair of shorts the other day and had no trouble buttoning them. He was grumpy when I made him go on this diet... Now he is happy that he can fit back into his shorts that were getting to the point of no return!

Good job Shannon.  Keep it up.  I am glad your BF is doing NS with you.  That is great in it's self.  He should be thanking you now :o)  Have a good night.  Marie

Marie,
Alas I awoke too early this morning but it was just as well.  I was almost hoping I would so I could get my walk in before breakfast and a shower before heading to the dentist at 7:00.  Now my entire day has been put into disarray because of it.  Of course I ate breakfast earlier than usual, so the rest of my day has been too early.  I think I'll hit the sack early tonight so I don't have to think about the grumbling in my stomach.  Tomorrow will be a more normal day meal-wise.  Yes, I've been 100% today but just not at my usual times.  Have a good evening,  Betti

Sometimes I will go to bed early too just not to eat anymore.  A hot cup of tea is good before bed too when I eat too early.  Have a good night and congrats on staying 100% today.  Marie

Hi Marie,
I have been 100% today. Even made it between breakfast and lunch and again between lunch and dinner without eating off-plan. I often get so busy that I forget to eat my snacks, then I get overly hungry. The good part, though, is that I get to use those foods to spiff up my salad or my entree! I jogged this morning for 3.1 miles and hiked this afternoon. I will do my firming DVD tonight. Gotta go make dinner now. This will be another good NS day! Yay, me! Yay, us!!

Way to go Karen.  I start feeling like I need something to eat around snack time.  It picks me back up after I have my fruit and cheese.  Have a nice dinner and exercise time tonight.  Marie

Destressing with the outdoors.  The beautiful pink and blue sky as the sun disappears behind the mountains.  The birds singing their goodnight songs and the fireflies giving off their light everywhere I turn.  Then sings my soul.  My savior God to thee.  How great thou art rolls off my tongue into the air. Destressing and becoming new.  Marie

I replied to your other blog too (re-post for Sam and Jamie)...Boy do I feel special!  100% today WITH exercise!  WHOO HOO.  I agree with the destressing outdoors.  I moved granny's bike (stationary) out back on the porch.  I have a radio out there too.  Man, it was so nice!
I also have to comment on the fact that your body may be under major stress, even if in your mind, you don't feel that stressed.  I have broke out in hives twice over situations that were...sure a little stressful, but felt --no big deal, I can work it out.  I guess by body and mind were not communicating.  My lips and eyes swelled up, and I had hives all over my body. What an experience!
