It's the second Freaky Friday Challenge Weigh In Today.  Good Luck Everyone!  I hope your scales are kind to you and not just plain FRRRRREEEAKY.  Blame it on the Freaky Friday the 13th!!!!

 

Welcome to the  Freaky Friday Challenge for the month of June. Now is the time to get ready for summer and what a great way to start with a challenge.  Remember Friday to Friday weigh ins so everyone will be the same.   

We will report our loss on the Freaky Friday Challenge blog parties each FridayReport right here on any of my Freaky Friday Challenge blogs (Letsmove). 

Stay 100% on plan.  Eating 3 meals, 1 snack, 1 dessert and drinking 8-10 glasses of water everyday, not just some days.  Follow the plan Nutrisystem has put you on.

Exercise 3 to 4 days each week for 20-40 minutes at a time.  Walking is a great way to start exercising. I walk some everyday and wear a pedometer. A pedometer is a wonderful little motivator that is worth every penny.  Wal-mart carries them for around $4-$5.

Report your loss on my blog (Letsmove) on Fridays or before if needed.  This is a commitment and is a big part of this challenge. 

We will have the biggest blog party each Friday and that is where you will report your loss for that week. We will have an Award Ceremony on Saturdays on the challenge blog to celebrate all your victories. Check in daily and report your good and off days, but not weight until fridays.

Our second week is down and now is the time to report how you did. I myself am up one due to all the extra salt I had yesterday.  Salted peanuts in the afternoon and evening, and salted corn nuts.  Must have needed the salt with all the heat, but it does retain water and make the scale go up for a day.  But since I was a 100% on plan I know that tomorrow I will be right back down. As long as I stay away from the salt, lol.

Today I have the CPA coming with our Corp.taxes to be filed (If he makes the deadline I set for him). I gave him until noon because shortly after that I will be going off the mountain to get Sherri from camp.  She has been gone since Sunday and no communications allowed.  So I am counting the minutes today.  Also today is June 13th and a Friday.  My DH birthday today! So let's get this party started!

Well...I was hoping for a really big loss this week because I REALLY stepped up my workouts on top of staying on NS 100%, but I must say the numbers on the scale were not exactly impressive.  I only lost 1.6 pounds.  I just don't understand how that could be considering I noticed some really big changes in the way my clothes fit this past week.  So, I'm at 173.4 pounds now.  I do a good bit of weight work, so could it be that I'm building muscle?  Maybe, but I always feel like I'm making excuses when I say I must be building muscle and losing fat and muscle weighs more than fat, etc., etc., etc.  My scale did read low battery this morning, though, so perhaps the numbers weren't exactly correct?  I'll have to run out and get a new battery today.  Well, I'm off to the doctor this morning.  I'm sure they'll weigh me there, too...so we shall see.  Am I discouraged?  No, not really, because I am seeing other differences besides the numbers on the scale, but I was hoping to be at the 20 pounds of weight loss mark today.  Also, this is the first week where I haven't lost at least 2 pounds.  Oh well, it is Friday the 13th after all...LOL.  Chat atchya'll later.

Great job gingstrak!  Two pounds, woohoo!  My sister got all my size 8's that wasn't a size I stayed at long.  Size 4 is were I stopped at.  Fours are easier to find in the store, then 2's and a good size for me for now. Yes it does feel great to get into those smaller sizes.  When I was younger I loved being a size 8 too. Marie

The next two weeks will be difficult at the watering trough.  I will be in trial for the next two weeks, and bathroom breaks ( aka recess) are far and few between.  Judges and attorneys (like nurses) have bladders that expand to points of infinity.  So... no water except at lunch and then that will not be very much.
I will be eating alot of bars and lettuc, since microwaves in most part are not readily available.

Congrats to all who met their weekly goals, and Congrats to all who are going strong and sticking to their programs.

Good Morning to all.....This week I lost a pound.  Was hoping for more but I ended up working a lot of overtime this week so my workouts were cut short.  The good news is I said GOOD BYE to the 170's.  This weekend was shaping up to be a tough one but I worked around it.  Tomorrow I am going to Tysons Corner with a friend we usually have lunch, shop and then have dinner.  Instead we are meeting a little later (so I can hit the gym first thing in the morning) shopping and then having dinner.  I am already looking forward to the grilled salmon and asparagus.  Father's day will be at my house this year we are cooking out.  In anticipation I saved my Nutrisystem burger and am going to put that on the grill with the other burgers, everyone is making some type of salad with mayonaise.  I am making the steamed veggies and I bought whole grain buns.   This may sound silly but for the first time in my dieting life (tried every diet out there and gave up) I have planned my life to work with the foods I should be eating.  Normally it is one of those OH IT'S ONLY ONE DAY and I pig out.  Not this time.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the dad's out there!

I was down 3 lbs last week, so I'm still down one lb over all for the month.  I received my 3rd box yesterday and was a little sad that I didn't get to see the purple bear.  I'm planning for 2 bears by the next shipment(as I don't have much to get rid of for purple bear).  Will they do that?  Put 2 bears in or will they just skip the purple bear and send the next one?  I will be down next week, as this week is the one I don't have any control over.  Have a happy, Freaky Friday the 13th everyone!

A quick check-in for me.  I'm weighing in today at 161#, just one pound away from my goal.  Yesterday's shopping trip found me wearing size 8 in a couple different pants (they do say stretch on them) & in the non-stretch, new size 10's, in fact a whole new western-themed outfit to have my "after" picture taken in.  I'm a bit pumped!  I'm wearing the 8's today!  I call this "Mission totally Impossible-11 months later"...Mission darn near accomplished...above expectations!  NS rocks!

I stayed the same - 216.  I stayed on plan and exercised several days.  I need to get vigilent with my eating I am EXACTLY following the plan.  I know as long as I have been dieting, I won't lose big like some people do.  But, I would think a couple pounds.  I did have some sunflower seeds on my salads this week and maybe it is the salt.  Yesterday I was down, but not today.  Rats!  Sometimes you just have to take the weigh in and it will adjust tomorrow.  Congrats to everyone who stayed with the program and to those with good losses.

Ok, I am at 165 lbs this week and that is up 1.5 lbs from last week.  I am a little disappointed by the gain, but since I have been on plan and have been working out all week I don't feel disappointed in myself.  I can see that my body is starting to change and that helps.  This next week is going to be tough because I am going to be a counselor at a church camp and the food is made for us.  I still plan on taking my NS meals, fruits, and veggies, but the temptation to cheat will be in my face all week.  I am planning out my meals to make success more attainable, but also to make it harder for me to go off plan.  Also, I wont be able to weigh in next Friday due to being at camp, so have a great party next week and I hope to come back with a large loss.

Hi Marie!!  What a week it's been for me.  To start, we had tornados over the weekend, which is odd.  We just don't have that many in Michigan.  What a scary time that was!!  We were out of power for 4 days.  Sever weather last Friday, a big storm Saturday with rotating winds, (which took our power), then a tornado of Sunday!!  Can you believe that???  Anyway, I was 2 1/2 days eating out.  We finally got a generator so we had some normalcy at our house and then our power came back on Wednesday afternoon so I was able to get back to my NS food.  Didn't lose anything this week.  Still 157.5.  But, I feel good considering I ate out at restaurants.  I had high hopes for this week but I'll get there next week.  If only the weather won't shut us down again.  They're predicting more sever weather tonight.  Yikes!  Have a great weekend!  Teresa

Just a note...I'm not just starting NS, I'm starting the Challenge.  I wasn't in town last Friday, so I didn't begin with you all.  I started the program on March 9th and have lost about 24 pounds.  I finally sat still long enough to read all the other entries, and I am so proud to be a part of this group that is trying so hard to do the right thing!  My husband is doing this program with me, and he is so exact and "perfect" that he throws a fit when he goes off program at all.  But he has been very successful.  I think he's a little upset that he only loses a 1 pound a week, but I (the many-diet-doer!) told him that the slower he does it, the more likely it will stay off, so that is keeping him from being down about it.  It is nicer to hug him now -- we both have smaller bellies and can hug a lot better!!

I also just started back in with strength training, so I know my body is going to have to adjust. Whatever...I will just keep on plan and exercise. The weight is bound to come off sooner or later!! I am just happy to have lost 10 pounds in only one month!!

Welcome Karen!  I don't have a exercise link.  I use to do the Fit In 2008 and charted it for 12 weeks, but I stopped charting on the blog because it was hard to get everyone to report timely.  It really took a lot of my time.  I do still chart my own exercise on my calender, but that's it.  See you on the blogs and tell that husband of your that he is doing great.  You know he can be on this challenge too if he likes.  The slower you lose the better it is for your body.  It gives your body a chance to shift and your skin to shrink at the same time.  When you take it off too fast and you have a lot to lose you have a chance of having saggy skin.  So tell him what I said and believe me I know what I am talking about.  Have a great day.  Marie
