Freaky Friday Challenge. One more day before our weigh in. How have you been doing? Are you ready?

Welcome to the  Freaky Friday Challenge for the month of June. Now is the time to get ready for summer and what a great way to start with a challenge.  Remember Friday to Friday weigh ins so everyone will be the same.

We will report our loss on the Freaky Friday Challenge blog parties each FridayReport right here on any of my Freaky Friday Challenge blogs (Letsmove).

Stay 100% on plan.  Eating 3 meals, 1 snack, 1 dessert and drinking 8-10 glasses of water everyday, not just some days.  Follow the plan Nutrisystem has put you on.

Exercise 3 to 4 days each week for 20-40 minutes at a time.  Walking is a great way to start exercising. I walk some everyday and wear a pedometer. A pedometer is a wonderful little motivator that is worth every penny.  Wal-mart carries them for around $4-$5.

Report your loss on my blog (Letsmove) on Fridays or before if needed.  This is a commitment and is a big part of this challenge.

We will have the biggest blog party each Friday and that is where you will report your loss for that week. We will have an Award Ceremony on Saturdays on the challenge blog to celebrate all your victories. Check in daily and report your good and off days, but not weight until fridays.

Our pledgers are karensmarks, justlucy, kathrynk8, changa6925, kenricva, brindy413, ryansprincess, hvnlyhills, 321_blastoff, brittysmom, ready_to_look_gr8, enfant4, raglady, babalouie, jordjess2, plummer08, betti13, kerime, carwash2, darlenenew, bbbbb32000, 40_b4_40, puglover1999, dedeelighted, flutepharm87, pattytx, shello60, mommyof3angels, wodell, btonasket, abshoelutely, gebee, cloudnine, mborras, scv218, drhennel, mailoss, roykat, bettie4d, amydoodledo, genevievredelamere, gingstak, heavynomore1, cgroves3, rdkoos, spiritwind, dianna03077, obsidian88, refocused, life_light, timcahill98, gingericht, missliznj, mmcknatt, ladygail, sillyrabbit65, biggersam, dlynne3962, chonkie, packster, jerikin, nlwnicolelee, boricuablue, tightandfit, connie1220, beachbecca, hipster7, candie_girl, mountaineer47, danigolightly, 2bfitby40, blanquita19, going2bhotnsexy, holandcamsmom, yoliesooner, lovshelties, coco_chanelle, tylersmom85and bflanders2.

Is your name on the list? Pledge here today. If your name is on the list, did you remember to report your beginning weight?   Did you remember to pledge an amount between 2-10 lbs you wish to lose for the month of June?

Here we go with week two, so lets stick together like crazy glue and stay 100% on plan. By the way Nutrisystem has plenty of sodium(salt) in all there meals, so there is no reason to add more salt to it.  It will only make your body retain water and make you feel bloated and heavier on the scale. Stay away from the salted peanuts, salted seeds, and salted popcorn unless your not planning to get on the scale the next day or two.

One more day until weigh in!  Are you ready?  Try and get a walk or some kind of exercise in today.  Drink 8+ glasses of water.  If your having trouble getting all that water in try drinking two glasses as soon as you get up.  Then have one with your vitamins. Drink another one before you go to work and your halfway home! Carry a bottle around with you if your not getting all your water in.  I buy both the 16 ozs and 24 ozs bottles and that way I know I have had two or three glasses of water when the bottle is empty. I drink one to two bottles at work and if I find I'm not drinking enough water but sodas, I will put the soda down and drink the water first.

I bought a Pug puppy on Saturday and he is so cute and good.  This time of the morning he has all this energy.  He weighs six pounds, so you see he is little. I put some pictures on my page last night so you can see him.  I think we are going to call him Junior Mac.  Although Eric doesn't like that name.  What do you think?

Have a great day!

Marie

Had a rough end of the weekend. I went to a med clinic on Sunday when I starting having some pains in my neck. They gave me some muscle relaxers which I think may have put a halt to my weight loss this week. Plus it was too hot on Monday and Tuesday to get out and walk. So I think my net for this week is going to be zero. I actually gained two pounds early in the week but it dropped back down to 231.1 this morning.

Medicine really can mess with your weight loss. I hope you feel better soon Kenny.  I hate those muscle relaxers.  They not only relax the muscles in your neck, but muscles all in your body.  Over time they really mess your body up.  I hope you don't have to say on them long.  It has been so hot here.  My exercise has been cut in half due to the extreme heat. Don't worry if you didn't lose this week.  Just do your best to stay on track and when you feel better it will come off again.  Marie

Well, I've been trying to get in as much exercise as possible, and have been 100% NS all week...last Friday put me at a total of 17 pound weight loss.  I tried extra hard this week - Billy Blanks got me through my third weekly Ultimate Tae Bo workout last night...hehehe - so, I'm hoping for 3 pounds this week to put me at the 20 pound mark.  I also have a doctor's appt tomorrow...I think my doctor will be pleasantly surprised as this will be my first appt since starting NS.  I'm going in for regular blood work, but also for a pain thing going on in my elbow...wish me luck!

Good Morning Marie,  I haven't been very good this week, but did 100% yesterday and will today.  I may break even from last week, but we'll see.  Enjoy your puppy, I'll be sure to check out his pictures.  If Eric doesn't like Jr. Mac, what is his suggestion?  Judy

The good thing though is when I went to the clinic on Sunday, my weight was 231, with clothes and shoes on, which means I was probably sitting at 228 on my home scales. The even better thing was my blood pressure was way down from previous trips to the clinic, where one time they got nervous and hooked me up to an EKG when I went in to be treated for something else. Overall health is improving thanks to the weight loss.
I gave up the muscle relaxers after two days. I went in there to get checked out because a couple of weeks ago, I was riding in a van carpool, sitting in the backseat when we got rear ended on I-95 in stopped holiday traffic. The two people in the front seat suffered some pains but I was fine. This neck pain started on Friday and I wanted to get it checked out and x-ray'd to see if I may have suffered some type of delayed response to an injury. Turns out to be arthritis. Nothing serious.

Don't worry Judy.  Today will be a good day.  This is a life style change and it takes time to learn.  You are doing great.  Eric comes up with a different name everyday.  Now Eddie is changing his mind again.  You know with our Lab, Buddy I was the one to pick his name.  I was waiting for Eddie to come up with the name because we gave him to Eddie for his Bday and Father's Day gift.  He keeps saying that we bought him for us.  :o)  I keep trying to tell Eddie it's his, but you know the puppy has other ideals.  He lays at my feet and rests on my arm.  He is so sweet. It's Eddie's Birthday tomorrow, so I will give him until tomorrow to name him.  Then if he has no name I will take over and name the puppy.  Marie

That's good to hear Kenny.  Don't you feel so much better now that you have lost some weight too.  I know that made all the difference to me.  I'm glad you didn't get hurt in the car crash. Have a great day.  Marie

Good morning!!!
So....I have been sooo stressed lately!! My mortgage application isn't going so well. I've tried so many options and still getting declined. It's frustrating and makes me sad. I love the place i picked out!!!
Plus, my bf and I have been kinda fighting. I had a week off work and kinda drank too much. not good. And now i'm back to work and forgot my running shoes. I have nothing to wear to work out in. I have steel toe boots here. that's it. So i wont have runners for another 11 days. BUT....I've been using my medicine ball and doing stuff that I dont need runners with. Marie, i will weigh in on the 30th when i go home. I'm REALLY hoping I'm down how much I said I wanted to be. It's going to be a rough month. I've also decided that I WON'T drink anymore after july 7. At least until the end of Sept. I know that's affecting my weight loss goal.
After my fight with my bf last night, it gave me more motivation to work hard. I'm so mad at him and i'm going to use that anger to keep me on track. Maybe I can't control certian things in my life, but I CAN control what I feed my body!!!
Keep up the great work everyone!!!!!

I'm sorry you all are fussing with each other.  I hope you can work things out.  Do you have a store you can buy some shoes at by your work.  That would be hard.  I would have to be running bare foot or on the spot.  Yes drinking add alot of empty calories to your body.  Good job on taking control of your eating.  See you soon.  Have a good day Vanessa.  Marie

Hi Marie,
Everytime I read your blog I think that maybe I will take your advice and go buy a pedometer, so the other night I went and bought one... I'm sad to report that even when I am making a concentrated effort to add as many steps as possible to my day i usually end up at less than 2,000 :( (I have an hour drive to work, work 10 hours, usually w/o a lunch break since we are so busy, and then it's an hour home. By then I'm exhausted!)
I am making a more concentrated effort now that I see how little movement I have in my life sitting at the work computer for 10 hours a day!
I have been having trouble sleeping (Not NS or excersice related, I've had sleep problems since I was 5 years old - they are just a little worse than normal the last month or so) and so I have been trying to go to the gym in the middle of the night when I am WIDE awake and no one else is. I think that has helped. And to work on my sleep problems (which I believe contribute to my weight gain, and lack of ability to lose sometimes) I worked really hard to stay awake all day yesterday, I skipped the gym and went to bed at a NORMAL time (first time in a really long time) and I set my alarm for early this morning - I know 6:30 is probably not early to a lot of people but give me a break I'm a 25 year old childless fool, your lucky I get out of bed before noon on my days off! So anyways, I got up and went to the gym this morning. I am feeling totally motivated and can't wait till tomorrows weigh in!
And I'm super happy to report that my bf has really gotten on the band wagon, has agreed to do NS for another month, and if I even get the thought that I want a little cheat moment he helps keep me motivated to stick with it 100% (usually he's the one trying to get me off track, this is a really nice change in him)!
All in all I'm having a WONDERFUL day - I hope everyone else is too!
Thanks again Marie, you are Awesome!

You are so lucky to have your BF behind you changa6925.  That is so wonderful to have that support and friendship.  One step more at a time.  Two steps, then three, and four.  Small steps add up quickly and you don't have to kill yourself either.  So today you did 1000 and tomorrow you do 1001 and the next day you do 1002 and so on and so on.  Next week maybe you want to up it to 1100 and so you do that for the week.  The next week the weather maybe bad and your down to 500 but then the sun comes out and you feel great and you take 2000 steps and you feel so good so the next day you do 2000.  It the moving and small steps to start that will make you stronger.  Have a great night.  Marie
