Boy is it hot here in the south. Starting out at 76 and going in the 90"s again!

No rain!  The river has gotten so low that Eddie has to take water from the house to water the vegetable garden.  All you people that are complaining about the rain, send it to us.  Here in the NE GA mountains we have what you call a miniture rain forest.  We have big beautiful water falls flowing off the mountains.  With the lack of water last year and now this year, the falls are almost dry.  The ground is green but without rain and lots of it, it will turn brown soon.  We are somewhere about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.  How is it where you are?

Be sure to drink lots of water in this heat and stay out of the sun in the heat of the day.

Have a good day everyone.

Marie

We've had 98 degree weather here in Scotts Valley, CA the last couple of days!  Whew!  But today is quite windy and cool, compared to yesterday's heat.  Luckily we will be able to put this nice hot weather to good use.  We will be going boating and camping this weekend! My husband is getting his knee replaced in July so we are happy that the hot weather is here already so we can enjoy some family outings before he's laid up! I did not take my dog for a walk yesterday evening because it was just too hot!!

Good morning, Marie and everyone else!  :-)

It's also been really hot here in Boston the past week.  Luckily today will be down to 85 and less humid, which will be a nice change from the oppressive heat of the last couple of days.  I, too, have been playing less with my dog outside because I've been concerned of him getting overheated...remember, doggies and other animals can easily get heatstroke, so in addition to getting in your own 8 glasses of water, don't forget to water the animals as well!!!

Doing well on the plan this week and looking forward to Friday's weigh-in.  I'm still only on track to lose another 1 lb. this week, but it's still progress and the road to healther eatin is getting a little easier each day!

Here's to lots of good eating choices and getting in your 8 glasses of water per day!  Cheers everyone!!!
