I hate stress. It comes at me from the most unwelcome places. My condo assn. fired the previous property managment company and the bad surprises just keep on comming in. Now the tax return was paid late so the assn owes penalty and interest. I guess it wouldn't bother me except that I am on the Board, and a CPA, and an Ex-IRS agent, so it bugs me when people who know better... well you get the point. My other half and I have been sharing double beds now for, well your maybe not that old, and she has been wanting a king now for awhile. Now seems to be the time, and she says go and get what you want. So, I go to the mattress store. Don't like tempur pedic, the Sealys are not so good. I see a fairly nice set on sale for about $1,000 off list. I ask why, and get a runaround answer. Well, my guess is that is is some kind of used, like floor plan, repo'd or something. I move up the the top of the line, and have it delivered tomorrow. Well, not the very top but the top brand. So, when I get home, I keep quiet. Finally she asks what did I get. I say just wait and see. Then later, I said, I got the cheapest twin set they had, hard as plywood, for my back. After that many years she knows when I am joking. Ha! She says it will be good for her back too! So, we have to move junk and furniture in three rooms to make a place for the new bed, and the old futon is out on the back patio and Dog has the mattress in the family room, all at home like she will be staying there for awhile. Tomorrow the double will move into the guest room and we put her mom's old bed back in service to hold it up. I broke the side rail about a year ago caus I was sitting on it with all my weight on one place, and crack. We are talking about hand made solid mahogony (I know, I can't spell). But our furniture guys take care of it, so now it is in the guest room and has double the number of slats it had before. Twenty days to report to the office, and I am going to have lots of days like this. Oh Boy. I love stress.
