Wow, zero blog responses? I thought I was the only one - but you ? Mostly you get 9 to 15 responses all the time. And this post was an afternoon time too. I don't get it. Maybe everyone took the day off from blogging?

It's early Sunday morning here...next after a few postings by me, will be to take the dog out and get our Sunday paper down at the curb. My golden retriever brings in the paper in her mouth every morning, then, gets a dog biscuit treat. She wakes me up every morning at my bedside with a nudge from her head to let me know it's time to give her a little petting love by the bedside, and, to get up and let her out for her morning relief.

In two hours it will be 9am and time to cut grass! With all the rain we've had it grows in one week where I HAVE to bag the clippings. Bagging is a lot of work..emptying out the bag, walking to the backyard with this heavy cache of clippings and dumping it in the woods. On the bright side, I get some walking and weights exercise...and, the grass looks great.

Later, I have to drag out a suitcase and start packing for my business trip to Cleveland on Monday, enroute to Toledo, Ohio for technical training. In Cleveland, I'll have the chance to meet LUCKYDAZE, BACBEV and NEWMESOON55, along with my high school friend and his wife, who I haven't seen in a couple years.

I get home late Thursday night, up early Friday to be in work by 7am...then home to pack up for vacation. We leave on Saturday July 11th for the drive to Atlantic City (4hrs). A causeway takes us over water to Brighintine Island off the Jersey coast at Atlantic City. With a condo on the beach, it'll be 7 days of sun, water, sand, golfing, walking my dog (yes, the condo accepts pets), and some gambling too.

Our 4th of July was a fun day. It started early for me playing 18 holes of golf and my game was the best so far this year. Then, we packed up for a backyard picnic at my wife's cousin's new house they just bought a couple miles from our house. It was an NS day up to that point; but, a straying we did go. Thank goodness it's over and I'm back to plan and some walking exercise with the grass.

I saw your posting from yesterday and had to pop in to say hi Shannon. While I don't always respond to every one of your blogs, I them all. I usually come to your home page and see which ones I may have missed..then catch up on my reading.

Hope your 4th of July celebration was fun filled!

Lots to do, so I'm off to get my NS breakfast going. Pancakes in the little NS package is waiting for me...and my 64 ounce water jug needs filling.
