Product endorsement and exercise regimen resumed!

Fat free dressings largely suck according to my tastebuds.  It's just how it is in my mouth.  So, since the onset of my new NS lifestyle, I have made Good Seasons Italian with 2/3 balsamc vinegar, a splash of water and the remainder olive oil.  I count this as my fat.  However, as of yesterday, everything has changed!

We used to have pancakes on Sunday morning in our back yard.  I'm not a big fan of maple syrup, so I was always looking for alternatives. Trader Joe's used to carry lots of flavors - apricot, raspberry, blackberry - then they stopped.  I finally found a blackberry syrup I liked at Safeway from Kozlowski Farms.  Over the weekend my son and his friend had pancakes and we opened the last bottle of the syrup - it is no longer available in the store.  So, I checked them out online and discovered their FAT FREE salad dressing line.  O.M.G!

I ordered the Honey Mustard, Ginger Teriyaki, and ItalianHerb.  So far we have only sampled the Honey Mustard, but it is unbelievably good!  Not artificial tasting or overly sweet (my main complaints about FF dressings).  So, without reservation, I share with you www.kozlowskifarms.com

Dangling the carrot of a salad in Honey Mustard dressing in front of me, I went to the gym today - for the first time in almost 3 weeks.  I was doing projects and birthday things here and the days kept getting away from me.  Today, though, I got in there, got a decent workout and am headed out to Mecca (what we call the best shopping in Walnut Creek) to take advantage of some sales...while I drink GALLONS of water!  Wahooo!

Peace and joy ~ Shannon

Can't wait to try your dressing options. I have been on NS for 17 months and I still use Reg. Dressing because I too hate the non-fat stuff. I go to the gym 5 days a week 2 hours a day and between that and the food changes I HAVE LOST 100 POUNDS. Keep up the good work and stick with the gym!

I guess I'm lucky....the Safeway Eating Right Balsamic FF dressing hit my taste buds just right, not too sweet, not to "ookey"...I've tried several others, but seem to always come back to this one, even the non NS eaters in the family like it.

Glad to hear you're back in the gym groove, I'm sure Grav has missed you.

I consider myself fortunate that my taste buds have a very "white trash-y" sense of what's good and what's not, so the calorie free stuff from Walden Farms is just fine to me, while others don't like it at all :o)

My take on it is, I don't compare FF/SF/LF anything to it's "original" form, I just taste it to see if I like what it tastes like all on its own, and that usually works for me. However, I got acquainted with Walden farms from NS blogs, so I will definitely take a peek at your suggested site, because having someone else be the guinea pig is the best way to discover new stuff!!

I can't take the Walden Farms dressings, bit I do like the Maple Grove of Vermont FF dressings (the Caesar and Greek are my faves, but they have some other really awesome ones)and also Wishbone Bountifuls hearty Romano and Santa Fe dressings.

I too can't stand most other FF dressings. My go-to salad dressing is Trader Joe's fat-free balsamic dressing. It doesn't seem FF at all to me.

I don't consider myself very picky but I have tried most FF dressings and cannot force myself to eat them. I have found some reduced calorie, low fat ones that I absolutely love so that is as much of a concession as I am willing to make. Glad you have found stuff that you like. But, thank you so much for the Greek Yogurt suggestions, I am in heaven.

Enjoy your shopping spree. Anything in particular you are looking for?

I try to keep it simple as I have found I throw out most of my dressings because they just don't satisfy me.

I stick to straight balsalmic, no oil, no additions of any kind and I love it.

It is hard on the pallet at first, but it is amazing once you get over the first pucker :)
