Oh, THAT'S what the inside of the gym looks like!

Finally, I made it back to the gym this morning.

First, I drove SonBo to school for Spirit Week Class Switch Day - he's a Senior so he went as a Nerdy Freshman.  I nearly fell on the floor laughing this morning.  Our son is a techie - he wears black...every day.  His hair is short and cute, he wears glasses, he wears boots with steel toes in case he has to move heavy stuff.  However, this morning, he came out of his room in khakis (which he rolled up to be floods), with a tucked in polo shirt (school logo), computer case, class schedule complete with allergies and phobias list attached to his neck, a bright orange whistle with a light on it, taped glasses on a neck string, and a special note written to the principal from his mommy.  VERY funny.  So I drove him to school and dropped him off at the quad.  Then I took myself straight to the gym for a much needed workout.  I feel better.

I forgot how great getting in the daily workout (before anything else) feels.  Now off to greet the day!

NINE.

Peace and joy ~ Shannon

Good for you getting to the gym! I've been going twice a week for years, but only doing weight training. I have no cardio/exercise plan at all. So, it's encouraging to hear about your success.

Good planning on your part -- I am sure the gym was missing you too. I know I always feel better after I exercise, especially on those days I really, really, don't want to go.

See you in 9 baby.

Congratulations on making it to the gym. I never go anymore and one of the biggest and coolest gym's ever (Lifetime Fitness) is right across the street from my house. They built it after I moved in. It's about the size of Walmart and there it is taunting me daily. I can even see it at night from my back windows because it has a glowy dome-like thing on top. Sighhh. Someone named Joe calls me from there every month and asks me to come back. Sorry, Joe. You want my membership fees and I want flat abs but I'm just not ready yet...

I miss Gym myself. I had a session with a new trainer, who told me the other trainer was teaching everything wrong, "Which is why he isn't with us anymore." She then promptly tore apart all of the wrong ways I was doing stuff, and although I DO realize it's because she knows her stuff, is good at her job, and wants me to do things the RIGHT way, made me feel like a total a$$ the entire time. Right or not, her bedside manner needs some work.

But I digress, because the reason I haven't been there in almost 2 weeks, other than Helga the Horrible, is that school work, work work, and house hunting has taken up my busy social calendar. Fortunately the dawg gives me a guilt trip if I don't take her for her walkie-poo, meaning I haven't been totally stagnant.

So please give Gym a big hug and kiss for me and tell him I'll be back soon.

I'm reading to Tom and we are both laughing at SonBo. We hope you have a great evening, tomorrow and continue to enjoy your workouts. Did I tell you that when you guys are at Tahoe, Tom and I will be over at the Grand Canyon.

Come on over...
