OMG! I crossed the line, (But I am learning)
75 lbs are gone since I started this journey in August and I have been religious over following the plan to the letter. It works, no doubt. Last night I went out for the first time to a real restaurant to attempt to eat real food.. In retrospect I know that I went overboard but after confessing up and actually filling out the mealplanner for yesterday I really know that I failed miserably. I may have been a little obsessive in the past following the plan but when I go off it I really go off.. I was doing well obviously until dinner. So here goes. It started out with a couple of Dewars and waters (not too bad about 60 cals each and at least I get my water) then the bread (sourdough only one piece , I can evan live with that evan) but what is with that oz of butter (could of done without that) then came the Prime Rib with green beans and Rice Pilof. Now it was a great Prime Rib cooked perfectly and probably raised on a Botique Cattle farm feed the best grain here in Fla., certainly worth the indulgance but faced with the choice of 8/12/or 16 oz sizes I was not going to wuz out with only an 8 oz size (they call that Petite) The 16y oz certainly would not do for a person as obsessively committed to loosing weight as me so I chose the 12 oz size and figured I would leave half and bring it home. (FAT Chance) The meal capped off with a couple of more Scotches baon the back porch back home and of course some kind of NS desert. I believe that there are some crumbs of Zesty Herb mix next to me on the porch this morning. In retrospect I am going to reflect on the experience last night on what not to do and continue the battle to make my goal in the next couple of months. Thinking ahead to maintenance although may be th biggest part of my weight loss program. As you all can tell I am already thinking about it. Keep up with the Battle and have a great week everyone.

We all have our moments...it's LIFE. It's certainly not going to hurt to have one day of indulgence - just jump back on the train and stay focused.

AS far as ordering the steak (and I too love a good steak) don't be concerned about what they call it. That's why we are all here to begin with...just think about why we would super-size those "value meals"!!!!

All in all it sounds like you have done great! Keep it up. ;)

If you do that once every three months, even on maintainence, life will not change that much, it might even help you stay on target the rest of the time. Forgive yourself and move on! I have been so proud of myself loosing 23 lbs since August that your 75 is pretty impressive. To learn from our experiences is always a good thing. Have a good Sunday. JR
